“Had a Carvery there today, it was so tasty. I haven't been there since before lockdown and it's even tastier now. They had x2 meats on, which is ok for me but I know some prefer more choice. Staff were very cheery and pleasant. Definitely worth the trip from Plymouth.”
“We came here for our nieces 18th birthday, we had the little bar to ourselves which was very nice the main bar looked good, and we would like to come back for a meal as we had some food provided which was really nice. Nice place to visit and we will be back again.”
“Our stay at The Land was lovely in every way. The views were breathtaking, beautiful interiors within the cabin, the hot tub was a nice bonus to the cabin. There is also beautiful walking routes from the cabin. We will definitely be coming back at some points and recommend it to anyone!”
“I really enjoyed my one night stay here. I had a very warm welcome and my bags carried to my room for me. There was fresh milk and plenty of tea and coffee. I had an ensuite room with a lovely shower and nice toiletries. Everything was spotlessly clean. My bed was firm with bedding high quality. There is free parking. Breakfast was excellent and very friendly and accommodating. The owners make/grow their own produce. I will definitely return here. The 5 star reviews are absolutely deserved.”
“Like a really (really, really) great Fawlty Towers. A blast from the past and a nice change from the type of corporate hospitality we all experience today. Personal. Quirky. Great food. Quick, before it disappears!”
“Easy to access in our campervan and a lovely warm welcome from the warden on our arrival. A very well maintained site and while the shower block was showing its age, it was kept very clean by the hard working wardens. The fully enclosed dog walking field (pictured) is great - large and well kept with a nice bench and well positioned poo bin, we found the site nice and dog friendly. A quiet site to relax on, we will definitely be back and enjoyed our stay.”
“A great night had at the Exeter. A little gem of a village with this sizable pub at its centre. A large and well maintained beer garden to the rear with terraces, very clean throughout and fantastic food (managed to stay whilst they were doing fresh pizza - I'd highly recommend one) The Staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to make sure I enjoyed my stay. The room was very comfortable with a good shower & soft towels. Sadly I needed to be away before breakfast was served but the team made me up some sandwiches to collect the following morning. A great pub, great accommodation, really friendly locals and good food & beer. Perfect!”
“Conveniently located to visit south hams. Friendly helpful knowledgeable staff Clean well kept campsite. Corner shop and garage and pub 5 mins away Basic shop but it does stock vegetarian Magnums!”
“Fabulous Sunday lunch, great beer, very friendly staff. We went in as customers and walked out feeling like friends. Incredibly generous portions delicately cooked. Can easily compete with top Michelin star restaurants”
“Fantastic cabin, felt very relaxing and cozy and close enough to stuff around for day trips, my 2 year old loved it and so did the dog!”
“Amazing place! Lovely owner and many memories for me, if I could live there I would!”
“Gareth was friendly and helpful from as soon as I walked in the door, was really accommodating and nothing was too big a task. The bed was very comfy and the bath was just lovely in room 2. Very clean, and breakfast was done to my liking as I had asked. Absolute hidden gem will definetely recommend to others! Thank you!”
“We just stumbled upon this pub, whilst exploring the village a few Sundays ago, and asked we could have a lunch, met the owner who had recently taken over the pub, we sat in the bar because kit was last minute & the restaurant was full. We both had the roast & shared a cheese board, amazing food, well presented, good service, we will definitely return to sample the menu, and it was reasonable price, seems like they have a good chef, well done.”
