As a surprise birthday treat from my husband this was the perfect choice for an intimate meal for two in this quirky 500 year old building full of nooks and crannies. It was an exceptional evening from the off with old fashioned personal service of the highest quality from Fabio. Michelin star food from Chef Peter who came to the table at the end of the evening. The cherry cocktail was delicious. Thank you to the three of you for a lovely evening in your wonderful restaurant.

Absolutely fabulous! Thank you for making my birthday meal such a memorable and joyful experience. From the moment we arrived, Fabio was an exceptional host, warm, attentive, and full of charm. It was such a lovely surprise when the chef came out at the end to meet us personally, such a thoughtful touch that made the evening feel extra special. Can’t wait to return!

Hidden gem perfect for special occasions! Had a meal out with my partner here last night and it did not disappoint! The waiter was super helpful , friendly and attentive . The venue is really special , it is a small dining area with a lovely atmosphere. I had the sea bass served with veg and dauphinoise potatoes, which was delicious followed by the almond tart with amaretto ice cream. We finished with a gorgeous chilled limoncello and an espresso. There was an extensive wine menu, nuts and amuse-bouche to start with. Everything was thought of making it a perfect evening out . At the end the Chef came out to talk to us which was a lovely touch . Totally recommend, will definitely be back !

We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at The Artillery Tower and had a truly amazing experience. We arrived about half an hour early for our reservation and were warmly welcomed and offered drinks while we waited. The gentleman who looked after us was very professional and took the time to explain everything, which we really appreciated as it was our first visit. The food was absolutely lovely — a big thank you to the chef and all the staff who served us. We enjoyed a delicious three-course meal, and every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. The whole evening felt special and memorable. We’re already looking forward to coming back again soon to try more of the menu. A big thank you from both of us — Mindaugas & Vilma

The food was scrumptious. Loved the starters and entrees. Shared the scallops on pork belly, crab and avocado salad, John Dory fish and duck breast with my niece. It’s on the top 2 list for Plymouth in my opinion, the other place being Acleaf. The server, Fabio, was top notch! Knows his wines very well and how to pour properly! Has a great personality. The ambiance is top notch (like eating in a castle!). Highly recommend.

A lovely intimate venue for a quality meal. We booked for a special dinner and weren't disappointed. The tower is a single room with less than 10 tables which gives a homely feel. Log burner added to the atmosphere. Service is by a husband and wife team who take the time to engage with their guests. Food is from a set menu and was all unfussy but prepared to a high standard.

We had the most delicious meal where every course was delicious. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or bring friends to this unique restaurant. It’s fun to dine somewhere that feels a bit different. Super, friendly service too.

My wife and I went last night as a late birthday treat for myself. What a wonderful evening. The restaurant is beautiful,it's housed in an old gun tower,it's small but lovely. Its warming, cosy, welcoming, tasteful with a lovely log heater to keep you warm. The staff (both of them) hardworking, attentive, helpful, friendly. The restaurant was full but the hostess made us feel special and had all the time for us we needed, she really couldn't have done more for us. The food, where to start...We both chose the same foods,we had. Belly of pork with scallops to start excellent. The pork fell apart, the scallops cooked to perfection the flavours were out of this world. Fillet of beef, main course, again superb, taste was out of this world, the carrots not sure how they were cooked but I could have eaten a whole plateful. Price wise, very realistic,I've certainly paid a lot more for a lot less. I really cannot speak highly enough of the evening,(I'm running out of superlatives). HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Highly recommend this place for a v.high quality meal. A small tower building with views out to sea at the window seats. Certainly up with the best restaurants we have had the privilege of eating in. All items that our party ordered were phenomenal, the chef is very modest but must get complimented frequently. We knew it would be great food but it surpassed our taste expectations, with everything from soup to nuts being outstanding. Thank you to the owners for the fantastic experience. I've not posted any pictures of the food as I do not want to spoil your surprise and delight of the individual style of the restaurant.

This place was fantastic, a lovely atmosphere and very intimate, the food was incredible and the drinks were fab. The service was lovely as well, with the hostess helping in any way she could and the chef coming out after food was finished to make sure everything was okay.
