This is a chef that cares about his culinary art. Taste is everything and this person really knows his profession. I cannot believe also, that everything prepared is gluten free. I wish there were more chefs like him. All the meals we have had here have been delicious!
Wow wow wow!! All homemade smoked meats! Brisket, belly pork, chicken and even pork ribs. The roast was incredible. Crispy potatoes, wonderfully cooked veg. And this place is ALL gluten free! Best roast in many years. Sarah the landlady is so welcoming and friendly, and so are the locals . We will return monthly for sure! Thank you for a great meal and time
Wonderful old character pub with really excellent food at sensible prices. Can be very busy so book as only 10 or so tables inside. Pleasant courtyard garden and all dog friendly. Just a few yards from waterfront.
How rare a Pub where every item on the menu is GLUTEN FREE!! Heaven for those with intolerances or who are Coeliac. We enjoyed a delicious roast beef, the best Yorkshire pudding ever and a beautiful selection of fresh vegetables. Although we were pretty full, we couldn’t resist the syrup sponge pudding- I’m so glad, it was fabulous and perfect on an unseasonably cold day. . Sarah and her family are so friendly and welcoming and Bere Ferrers is a beautiful spot. I highly recommend The Plough Inn. We must support our village pubs!
Visited The Olde Plough Inn & loved it. Set in beautiful surroundings in Bere Ferrers, Yelverton, it is truly a gem. Sarah greeted us warmly & served us well. Chose home-made beef & veg soup with warm bread rolls (delicious) & syrup sponge pudding with custard, which was devine. Can't wait to return for a lovely walk by the water's edge followed by another tasty lunch. Highly recommend.
Lovely village pub with some great beers
Great food, beer and coffee. Lovely welcome. This pub is in a stunning location in the Tamar Valley - great views and walks. There was so much on the menu that I could have eaten! Highlights for lunch though were amazing soups and burgers.
Great location and brilliant service . Try the smoked BBQ which they smoke themselves on site ! It’s amazing !!!! Sarah def goes the extra mile and delivers exceptional friendly service .
Amazing Sunday roast of smoked brisket, massive Yorkshire pudding and perfectly cooked veg. Great atmosphere and service. Not at all pretentious. Just genuinely friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back!
