Was told it would be 20 mins so turned up 25 mins later, was told it was being boxed up - still waiting 25 mins later!!! I don't reckon they started cooking till I arrived and paid! Food was okay but not worth the wait!
Had a lovely meal from here tonight, very tasty, good portions and excellent service, we will be back, really enjoyed it!
Have used this takeaway for years but since it was taken over in Jan 2024 the quality of food has dropped considerably. Ordered at 9pm this evening food eventually arrived at 10.45 pm and definitely not worth the wait, worst chinese I've had in years! Chips inedible, bbq sauce was so watered down it was disgusting! Rice was clumped together and not cooked properly. £37 went in the bin !Won't be ordering anything from here again!
Avoid crownhill takeaway in the carpark. We just had an absolute diabolical excuse for a meal ...curry was like wall paper paste, rice was mush and chips were awful. Oh and chicken balls ??? Small bits of chicken chunks abd a bag of loose batter ...total abomination
ordered food at 7.11 and was told it could be up to 1.5hrs wait. Said that was ok as it is our regular chinese and worth waiting for. 1.45 hours later no food so i rung and was told food was all packed up waiting delivery. 25 minutes later food arrived although we live 5 mins away. On arrival spare ribs were really tough, usually falls off bone, but these needed cutting off with a knife. Special curry was watery and meat was cold. Even fried rice was gloopy. Only things eaten were prawn crackers and crispy seaweed. Dont know if there has been a change in staff or they were too busy to cope. Shall not be using again, waste of £30.
What a really tasty hidden gem. Delivery was close enough to the expected time as not to matter, but for standard Chinese food, it's definitely worth the wait
Hidden gem of the Plymouth! Excellent chinese food, it became our no.1 takeaway choice while we were working around the Plymouth. Well missed now and hard to beat for the taste and value for money. Highly recommend!
Lovely Chinese very fresh
Ordered at 7.20pm to be told hopefully 1hr or 1.5hr tops for delivery. Gets to 9.05pm so 1 hr 45 minutes without our delivery. So ring to be told not started cooking it yet so can’t give a time. So cancelled and wasted our evening. Disgusting customer service never again.
