Absolutely amazing food, excellent flavours, truly authentic Sri Lankan recipes, tastes and flavours. I particularly recommend the Masalla Dhosa, a large pancake stuffed with fragrantly spiced potato, served with chutneys and a sauce accompanyiment, like MANA from Heaven.
I have ordered Chapatti and paneer butter masala from this restaurant through uber eats. And they accepted the order. Then they called to replace the paneer butter masala with something else because it was not available. I said i do not need anything else for paneer butter masala and asked them to cancel my order. And I cancelled the order in the uber app. And they charged me saying that i am responsible for this order since the restaurant started preparing it. How come i am responsible for something they ran out of stock. Why would i pay for something i do not need. This is bullshit
one star is too much for the food i had. i ordered gobi manchorian they sent me a uncooked and unprofessional food. thats not even look and taste like gobi manchorian. very disappointed . thats my second time . had a horrible food. uncooked food not being served according to names of it.
Came all the way from Looe to try the chettinad crab curry and it didn’t disappoint. In fact, every dish we ordered was so delicious - I don’t think we’ve ever had such a delicious meal despite having frequented lots of south Asian restaurants living in London. The Nilgiri lamb was also exquisite, and being Indian ourselves we could see that each dish had been carefully prepared from scratch and the taste was authentic! Dosa was super crispy. For starters we had the prawn, devilled lamb and chukka dry chicken - which were all super tasty Hats off to the chef as the food is worth travelling even from London for! They also allowed us to have our quiet dog in as it wasn’t busy. I read the reviews and noted the customer service comments - we didn’t experience that during our meal as everyone was lovely but honestly, this place is still worth trying for the food!
Amazing food and service, I don’t post positively unless it’s somewhere I’d go back too, and wow I’m planning a return visit! The food is amazing, ask questions as they explain it really well and I tried some dishes I wouldn’t normally and they were exactly if not better than described! Brilliant! Honestly, go for the food it’s amazing! The service is just icing on the cake!
I’ve been visiting Cinnamon Garden for sometime now whenever I get cravings for Sri Lankan dishes. The food has never disappointed me at all. Although I believe the restaurant could do a lot with some interior changes. Staff are always super friendly and welcoming. Prices are also not bad, so much value for money. If you are craving asian food in a budget this place is the best!
Really enjoyed the Sri Lankan cuisine. Nice to try something different from what we are used to. The waitress was very helpful and made some great food suggestions and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back. Unfortunately there was a large table of football fans which ruined the atmosphere slightly but they offer a discount on collection of take away so we will try that next time.
We came in as a group of 7, only to be told that they weren't serving alcohol. OK, not too much of a problem. Had to wait for our orders to be taken. Starters came and were really tasty and a good size. When the mains came, some were very small, especially the devilled dishes. Food was really tasty though. For most of the time we were the only table there. Shame, could be a really good restaurant, but I fear it is struggling and this shows.
The food is indeed great, but if only the restaurant's hygiene would be better ......
