   Notice that all the Chinese people (who understand the cuisine and order real Chinese food) who review this restaurant give it high ratings. This is because those who give very low reviews are people who don’t understand the cuisine. Waiting area is a bit dirty but it’s a takeaway so that doesn’t matter. Food is slightly inconsistent but consistently better than other local takeaways. Staff are friendly and efficient.

   Unfortunately I would avoid this takeaway. Much like a lot of the other reviews have stated, the food is tasteless. We got the duck chow mein, egg fried rice, salt and pepper chips - all of them having no taste and being thrown away quite quickly. To add to this we ordered online at half 6 to pick up for 7 and only got our food at 7:20 despite no other customers being there. This was also compounded with the whole place being filthy, we didn't want to sit on their sofa whilst we waited because of the state it was in.

   The food was hot and tasty . The fried rice was very nice with the chilli oil .Good portion . The soup was hot . Friendly staff. Definitely recommended .

   Very disappointed. Ordered our food @6.20pm to be told delivery up to 1 hour & 10 minuits. We waited 1 hour & 50 minutes. Had to call to find out how long it would be to be told driver is on his way. When we finally did receive it, it was cold. Food would have been lovely if it was not cold.

   One of the best around for takeout in my opinion. Generous portions, tasty food, and a very reasonable price. Someone rated this place badly in a review below, complaining about kids toys being everywhere. Yes there’s kids toys everywhere, and sometimes the child is playing in the front of the shop too. I assume this is a family run business doing their best to bring up a child while running a take away. Good for them too! What a stupid thing to complain about. What matters is the food and the service - and I can’t fault either.

   So lovely. I’ve just moved to the UK from Hong Kong (but was a foreigner there) and had been craving fried noodles all week, the vegetable chow mien (in photo) was exactly what I wanted! Nice to see a variety of vegetables mixed in too and portion sizes are satisfying and not excessive. The egg fried rice was tasty too. The green pepper and chicken in black bean sauce tastes great initially but was too sweet, hard to eat lot. The vegetables in oyster sauce had a nice subtle flavour and was filling. They also kindly surprised us with some free spring rolls and prawn crackers! And to make it even better we paid just £20 for the chow mien, black bean sauce chicken, oyster sauce vegetables, plain rice and egg fried rice. We got the food in person so can’t comment on delivery.

   This was disgusting service. We ordered food and it tasted like it had been standing for days! We rang up and got told someone would collect it then he hung up! We rang back the manager told us we have to bring it back for a refund because she sent the driver home but none of us drive! Then she hung up! It was disgusting food, disgusting customer service and I will never be ordering again.

   Was really impressed by the food from Red Cap. Service was friendly and they customised the spice of a dish which was good. Food cooked quickly and it was all lovely. Seems a lot more tasty than other Chinese food I've had, and they advertise no MSG which is good. I would usually eat a whole fried rice and main dish from a Takeaway, but struggled to finish this and had nearly a full tub of food left afterwards. Definitely recommended, and this will be my new go to Chinese Takeaway!
