Another excellent meal here. The set meal gives some great choices but it was a special occasion so I paid for supplements, scallops and pork belly stunning, as was the whole meal which everyone enjoyed

My mum and I dined here while staying over in Exeter and were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food for the price, really good value for money! We originally planned to go to The Ivy but weren't overly impressed with the menu choice and gluten-free options for my mum who is coeliac - so glad we came here instead! The menu was unique and interesting and the food was just delicious and perfectly cooked and presented. The shabby-chic style dΓ©cor of the restaurant had a lovely, casual charm and loved the fish tank. We would definitely come back if we are ever in Exeter again!

The best restaurant in Exeter, we have been coming here for years and the cooking is a consistently high standard. It's classic food done very well at an incredible price. There aren't any other restaurants of this calibre where a bottle of wine is under Β£20 either. The staff are always friendly and if you only have one meal in Exeter - visit here!

Walked tentatively into the restaurant through the two sets of stairs, but only took a few minutes to have a warm greeting from a member of the team and shown to our table. The menu was excellent and so was the wine selection. We chose our food and a lovely Portuguese Red, our favourite. Everything was excellent and the service was a perfect balance of attentive but not in your face. Loved every course. Will definitely be revisiting.

I have always enjoyed the food at the conservatory.. The lunch at Β£12 to Β£15 for 2 or 3 courses was really amazing value. Decent starter (Brie and chilli jam in a tartlet, and steak main (Β£3extra) and some amazing French style potatoes (really incredible). My wife loved her haddock main. Overall well worth a visit for lunch.

Most amazing restaurant. The food was exceptional. We had the cauliflower steak which we have had at a lot places and this by far is the one to beat. Love the history of the building, the preserved Tudor wall, the helpful service. Could not believe how affordable the restaurant was, I thought there had been an error with our bill. We took a trainee assistance dog with us and the staff were so accommodating

Great quality food reasonably priced. Had a three course meal without feeling like I had over eaten which is always a good sign. Service was very friendly and attentive. Would go again. Nice cosy atmosphere.

Very very tasty food in a good small restaurant… nice choice of wines and drinks too. Restaurant has a very modest frontage onto North Street, but then goes back quite deep, away from the street, into a conservatory area. Overall a really great lunch and highly recommended.

In short this ranks as one of the best restaurants I've visited. It's small clean and has a great atmosphere. The service and staff were great friendly, helpful and the right amount of time between courses. The food is without doubt some of the best I've ever tasted. I had the mackerel starter, the belly pork main course was amazingingly well cooked and finally the Tia Maria creme brulee was a new and delightful experience. Value wise with the portions and quality I was more than happy with the bill. If you want a quality meal that satifies your pallet, appetite and wallet, this is the place for you. Thank you for a very memorable evening.
