There have been three times I’ve gone to this cafe for lunch in the last month, in the middle of the day and it has been unexpectedly closed. I understand things can crop up for small businesses, but there was no social media post or sign on the door to explain anything, they will lose customers fast this way because people don’t like to be messed around. This cafe is in a prime position in the village, it could be so much more than it is, especially with it being opposite a nursery it could be a lovely cafe for mums to grab a coffee, but there is sadly a reason it’s never as popular as Lime Tree or Gluttons. Some of the staff have been lovely here at Georgie’s and I’m sad to be typing this review but issues really need addressing for it to sustain

Been to this cafe a few times and it’s a lovely little place. I do have one complaint and that’s the fact when you leave the cafe. Your clothes smell off deep fat oil and it gets into the clothes so much that when I get home I have to strip off and put my clothes in the wash. This is really putting me off going in there which is such a shame as prices are good and food is nice But sadly I don’t want to keep smelling of fat oil

Disappointed again. Haven’t been in for quite a while due to pretty much why I didn’t think much of it previously. The smell of cooking hits you as soon as you walk in. Can smell it on your clothes when leaving. Thought would have done something about that by now. Very stuffy and not the cleanest. Sat by a window sill today at 10.30am covered with dead insects so that had not been cleaned recently. Had a coffee which was nice but toasted tea cake was cremated. Could only eat the bottom halves. Mentioned it to the lad who waited at the table with a shrug of the shoulder as a response. Shame, in a nice position but needs attention to detail.

I've now been here on two occasions, for coffee with friends. Although we've not eaten here, the service was good ; the waitresses were both pleasant and efficient. Our coffees each time were made to our liking. The baked goods on offer looked very tempting. Our first visit was on Jamie's first day and I was pleased to hear next time that she was doing well.

Went for breakfast. Polite and friendly staff. Didn't have to wait long at all for the food. Food was great and all cooked perfectly. Definitely worth a visit. Will be back.
