Great local pub, big cobs and a nice atmosphere, plenty of ales although ironically I only drink Madrid these days so can't comment. I know it's still summer but in winter they have 2 open fires burning logs for a lovely warm effect too.
Can't comment on food as we only came for a drink. Staff are friendly and approachable. The building is immaculate and OMG toilets that smell good, look good very clean and everything works including the hand driers. I will definitely be coming back to sample the food!
Great atmosphere on the evening I visited. I wasn't in here long when the cheese was being brought out. Very impressive presentation of cheese, hams and biscuits, which was complimentary to ALL customers. Some customers, cheekily took food away with them. It might be an idea for the management to put signs up or at least tell customers that (complimentary)food to be eaten on the premises not taken away. Very nice ales with a good selection from a variety of drinks.
One of my Grandsons and myself make a point of changing of Saturday morning "outings" of breakfast followed with a short drive to a BCA Pub, this one being visited the most because of the well kept variety of Ales and selection of freshly made Cobs.
The staff are all brilliant and prices are great compared to the rest of the pubs in Wombourne!!
Nice place, nice chatty landlord, good selection of beers, first time me and the wife had been there.would go again.

Went in as it's just been taken over by a new manager (I think he's called James), we had an amazing night. Great atmosphere and everyone seemed to be having a great night! Been back once again already, will be back again!
I celebrated the new year in the old bush with my children and I can honestly say it was one of best new years eve's I have had, they did a buffet and had live singers Nikki Belle and David Almond who where amazing and got everyone involved in the celebration all the children that where there with their parents had a brilliant time and so did all the adults. Leanne and Cleve always make everyone feel welcome and when they are not busy behind the bar they always go over to all of their customers and interact with them. The old bush is a family pub that has always got a friendly atmosphere and I would recommend it to anyone.
