Great pub...travelled down from near Manchester for an overnight stay in the nearby Mount Hotel as we went to a gig in Wolverhampton. Landlord very chatty, made you feel welcome. Its a very cosy/welcoming pub and went in the following day to be offered free Samosas. Highly recomend.
Been visiting the Royal Oak for many years. Fabulous pub, great atmosphere and always make us feel welcome.
This place continues to be our favourite and go-to local, even though there are other pubs closer to our home! A proper black country pub whose food offering is more limited to pies / pasties, scotch and pickled eggs, and hot meat rolls on a Sunday (but all are excellent and recommended), and where the beer is the focus and very well kept and presented, often with a great guest beer or two. There is a good selection of other drinks including gin and wine etc., and a beer garden that is fab for the summer, along with a self contained function room which is awesome for a private party. The bar and snug are perfect for the less clement months (and let's face it we get a fair few of those), and where you can watch a number of sports from multiple TV's. The landlord and landlady are very friendly and welcoming, with special mention to barmaid Jo who brightens our Sunday afternoon visits with her smile and conversation. Very dog friendly too, which is a must for us. Highly recommended!!

We hired the function room for our daughters 18th birthday. The management and staff couldn't of been more accommodating. The room was a perfect size as we had about 60 guests. The bar staff were friendly and happily served a very thirsty crowd all night with smiles on their faces. The garden was great for all the kids to run around in and the whole pub had a friendly feel. I would definitely recommend it and we are already looking to book again for our next big occassion
A real pub ...loads of chat ...all ages Great bar ..friendly staff... Big beer garden ..weather permitting.. Being small...its sometimes tricky getting seat...but for the odd drink or two...or while you wait for your Chinese takeaway...Great...or meeting mates ... Yes loads of atmosphere!!
