Had a marvellous Christmas day dinner at the Woodman. Portion sizes were excellent and the food was cooked to perfection. A lovely experience made better by Abi and Brendon. To be fair, all the staff were excellent. Can't wait for next year's Christmas will definitely book again
I ordered the salt and pepper chicken and chips, and it was an absolute disgrace. The chicken was bone dry, like it had been reheated for sport, and it came drowning in a so called “katsu curry” sauce that had completely coagulated. It looked like it had been left out all day. When I complained and asked for a replacement, the waiter proudly returned with… the exact same vile sauce again. Zero shame. The rest of the experience somehow managed to be just as bad. We waited over an hour for the food, only for it to arrive before the drinks we’d ordered impressive levels of incompetence. Everything about this meal was terrible: the quality, the service, the timing, all of it. Hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The only redeeming feature was the beer, which was actually decent and thankfully didn’t require cooking.
I didn't feel supported by the bar staff, their preference was to male service, when I was hurt I felt ignored due to how I look he was a bit metrosexual-homosexual presenting as a lesbian woman I felt hurt. I had cut my leg prior to visiting which is not there fault yet there was no first aid kit. On my walk to get there and was nearly knocked over by just eat and Deliveroo on motorbikes, nearly fell into a bush due to a man with a turban. Which is not there problem but wish people were nicer. I had a shot of rum Kraken, and a squash , I like the posters and wish to return for their psychic night. Yet it's only on the book of Faces and I do not use the application. Prior to arriving I called to check opening hours, the converse was good and informative. I'd like to come back and have some food, the posters made me laugh and have good hand soap in facilities Sanitary bins are placed too close to the toilet Intrigued by the coffee rum wish it was poured into a shorts glass as opposed to a shot
We had a bottomless brunch and were served by Tom and Holly all I can say is 10/10. We each had 8 drinks in the 90 minutes and we had a delicious meal. The service was really fast and holly and Tom were lovely! I would highly recommend it’s been a lovely bottomless brunch we will be doing it again! For £30 with a big meal and this many drinks you can’t go wrong.
Popped in for a Sunday roast. When it arrived it was bone dry. It had clearly been left under a warming lamp for an hour or so. The potatoes were black and dry, sent back and e were brought another helping of the same. Really poor quality food. Waiting staff were nice.
The food was lovely and hot even though it was busy. I didn't have to wait long for food. service at the bar was quick with a happy face
I wouldn't be putting a bad review, if this happened just on one of my visits. EVERY time I order a drink on the app, it takes 15-20mins before it arrives. When I ask why they just say "we don't look at the ticket machine, even when we're not busy". That is ridiculous!!! The funny thing is I'm sitting here waiting for my drink now! A shame because the staff are nice

Ordered off the app as advertised, waited forty minutes for food to be brought out - missing all sauces and cheese on the burgers and we hadn't had our drinks at this point. We asked for them twice and had finished our meals before one of us went up to the bar to fetch them ourselves. Seemed very understaffed however as the girls that were working seemed rushed off their feet rather than it being because they weren't doing anything. Staff had lovely attitudes.
Pub was nice and quiet.(until we got there).lovely enjoyable meal..(even after lemonade spilled all over table)
