Having not been to the Pigot Arms for a long time we went today for Sunday Lunch (Carvery) and had a fantastic meal. The turkey was absolutely delicious and the other options looked equally as good. The vegetable section was varied and perfectly cooked. Would recommend to anyone. 5*

Dropped in for Sunday Dinner, randomly as we were passing by, when we arrived at about 5:15 the barmaid said they were closing early (service usually ends at 6pm on a Sunday). It turned out the landlord had a family emergency to deal with. I thought fair enough and said no worries, we would go elsewhere. Anyway, the landlord insisted we stay and reopened the Carvery, it was lovely and the Staff were all very friendly and attentive. The food was nice and despite it being right at the end of service it still tasted fresh and delicious. The chef did us a fresh batch of Yorkies which were excellent.

My wife and I ate at The Pigot 3 weeks ago and we each had a Sunday roast. Very tasty, nicely cooked and reasonably priced. We decided to book for a family meal last Sunday and it turned out to be the first carvery to be served. Had a choice of meats and plenty of veg. All properly cooked and very tasty. Again, very reasonably priced. Will definitely return!

Fantastic meal, great staff, order at bar, good value. Fish and chips as they should be crispy batter real cod. Everything cooked to perfection.

Had lunch recently lovely food especially the vegan tart in beetroot pastry which was fabulous. Really nice lady working very hard in the restaurant although when we arrived the man standing behind the bar didn't acknowledge us which wasn't very welcoming other than that it was great.

Iv had 3 lovely Sunday lunches here now. Food is lovely, great size portions, chef even comes out of the kitchen with extra roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings. Lovely atmosphere, traditional interior. New bar staff are lovely and friendly. I Would recommend.

Good selection of beer and wine and a nice atmosphere. Didn't try the food, but eaten there before and it was nice. Edit: Ate a couple of meals there around Christmas and the food was good, reasonably priced and there wasn't much of a wait for it. I did eat there a couple of times during lock down and they are taking nice Corona precautions. However I just ate the 8oz rump steak and it was OK but a bit too well done for medium rare. Will ask for rare next time. Visited again and had a lovely rare steak, they are certainly serving some good food at the moment. Upping the star rating to 5/5.
