   I’ve been going to this gym since September 2024 and have just cancelled my membership Some of the staff are great, but some are so unpleasant to interact with. Very miserable and cliquey, it’s as if they look down on you? Very odd! In terms of the facilities; the gym is good and equipment is good and has been refurbished; however there are multiple signs around the main gym telling members to clean down equipment once used; this is not done by all members which is disgusting but worst of all no staff members even check or make sure members adhere to the rules! Very frustrating for those of us who do wipe down equipment to watch some members jump from one machine to the other leaving sweat marks. The pool is nice; the hot tub, steam room and sauna are all great. The only issue I have with the pool is there is one lane put in there, and people don’t seem to be very considerate to other swimmers. It’s as if the gym goes above member capacity as the car park is always absolutely packed and the leisure centre seems full to the brim - no wonder it’s run down in some areas! The people i would give thanks to is some of the staff who are welcoming and cheerful, mainly the men and a couple of women.

   I recently visited Riverside Gym and Leisure Club and was really impressed with the facilities. The range of equipment is fantastic, I really liked the fact it had a sled push,TRX and climbing area. The only downside was that the lady at reception wasn’t particularly welcoming, which made my first impression a bit flat. However, once I got into the gym, the quality of the space definitely made up for it. Overall, it’s a great gym with excellent equipment and loads of potential!

   Really enjoy this gym – it has a relaxed vibe and everyone from the staff to the regulars, is friendly and welcoming. It’s spacious with a good range of equipment, a pool, sauna, and steam room. It may be a little rough around the edges, but that’s part of its charm." They’ve recently upgraded the showers, which are great now, the price is decent too, especially for everything that’s included.

   The employees of this gym are very nice, friendly, professional, very attentive to the needs of those around them, the gym is clean, orderly all the time, the machines and weights work, you can find everything you need inside the gym, jacuzzi, sauna, swimming pool, massage salon, cafe, beauty salon and many others. Instead, a large part of all this can be included in a monthly subscription at a price that anyone can afford.

   If you're in the area and considering this particular gym think twice! That is unless you only want to use the pool and drink coffee. None of the machinery has been updated in years. Numerous rusty pieces of equipment from the leaky ceilings, very noticeable when it rains or the humidity is too high. Temperature inside the gym is also absolutely freezing. Look around the area and you will find other better facilities for a lower cost. Shame really because the potential is huge...

   Just joined but it’s a decent gym for the price and you get the pool, sauna and steam room included too which is a pretty good deal. Moved from PureGym as I got fed up with how busy it was all the time and while the equipment isn’t as flashy it does the same job. Nice that you have a decent sized main gym and then a wholly separate weights room which is usually empty however some of the equipment needs either a refurb or replacing. The smaller dumbbells in the weights room are years old and don’t have many intervals between weights. Some of the attachments need replacing too however I have my own so it’s not much of an issue. Disappointing that there’s no Chest/Rear Delt fly machine or another weighted row, the one that’s there is fine but could do with a T Bar row as well. Staff are friendly however and haven’t had any problems. Overall 3/5, great value for money, never so busy that you can’t get on things but equipment really needs updating, especially the dumbbells in the weights room.

   Riverside is a really lovely gym, the facilities are great and include a good range of equipment, a lovely pool area which includes a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi and spacious changing rooms and showers. The gym has a friendly feel and the staff are welcoming. The coffee from the machine is really lovely, I always look forward to a cup after my swim! I like the idea of having family swim sessions at certain times, as it makes for a calmer adult environment which is nice, yet families still get to swim during the allocated sessions if they choose. A great value gym for everything you get. Thank you!

   im a member at this place but when comes to kids it’s a joke! my son swims at a high level so we go there to swim lengths as it’s close to home yet if it’s not ‘family time’ he isn’t aloud in to swim, when it’s family time you can’t swim due to kids constantly getting in the way or family’s playing! not fair really sometimes they charge him to swim sometimes they don’t… confused. would love to hear a reply.

   Such a great club. It has a lovely pool, sauna, jacuzzi and even a sizable steam room. The ladies gym is well equipped and cool enough for a good workout not to be uncomfortable. Decent selection of classes too. I've also always found the clientele friendly.
