PTs & staff are amazing, but oh my God, the maintenance & management! I literally can’t remember a time when there wasn’t an out of order loo (all of them last Monday) or shower. This is despite a recent refit which gave us new cubicle but left the same broken showers & toilets! The Jacuzzi area has been a bomb site for nearly a year, the changing rooms are freezing cold & there is still no hoist or ramp into the pool for disabled users. There also seems to be some sort of musical chair madness going on up on the gym floor. Three times I’ve watched the new floor manager rearrange the free weights area into a dangerous trip hazard nightmare, only for it all to be changed back to how it was previously. What a waste of time for both members who can’t use the area whilst it’s being done & for the poor support staff roped into lugging weight racks around. What happened to Plan before action & Risk assessments?! Good grief! The class timetable has also changed, apparently older, disabled &/or rehabilitating daytime users are only fit for yoga or pilates, these days (good luck getting into a class). Once low intensity strength & conditioning classes have suddenly turned into something akin to boot camp with some of the new instructors seemingly only there to train themselves rather than walk around checking people’s form. Maybe a few weights around the wrists & ankles for a week will give them some insight into what exercising feels like when you’re old, or disabled. I loved this gym - different people of all ages & abilities having a laugh & helping each other. It was worth putting up with all the maintenance issues just for the classes & the daytime community, but that’s all gone now. And, our reward for putting up with 20yrs of poor maintenance & bad management? They’ve just put up their prices by 14% & the coffee costs a small fortune. What a joke. I think I might be done.

Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price I’m really disappointed with this gym. The Wi‑Fi and Vodafone signal are practically unusable. Several pieces of equipment have been out of order. The air‑conditioning was also out of order, making workouts uncomfortable, especially during busy times. To make things worse, the receptionist gave me incorrect information about freezing a child membership, which caused unnecessary hassle. For the price they charge, I expected far better service and maintenance. Overall, it’s expensive and simply not worth it. Very disappointing.

I absolutely love Nuffield Bristol North - I teach Zumba, Kids Multi-circuit and Fitness Pilates here and have done for may years. The club is super friendly, both members and staff with up to date equipment plus 100's of awesome classes with enthusiastic instructors like me! There's a creche, kids classes, swimming lessons which makes the club perfect for families and it's a really good price if you look around and compare clubs. Come to my class and say 'hello' - I'd love to help you on your fitness journey.

This club is so friendly, welcoming and offers such a great selection of classes and quality PT sessions. Shouts out to Natasha for such a great Zumba class. Such fun and great music and atmosphere!!

I've been a member for years and it is quite evident that the gym quality has declined. The gym equipment is dirty, and its getting on on some machines. The AC broke at the beginning of the summer and its now November!!! And they still havent fixed it. I have asked at reception a few times and its always "the parts are coming next week". It is ridiculous that we pay so much per month to have a gym with no AC, terrible showers (and these have been "improved" last month though I didnt noticed any change) and dirty facilities.

I went to the swimming pool with my sister earlier this week for the first time. Being disabled I asked where the disabled changing was and was told at the reception she didn't know and to ask the lifeguard. He showed me to a family room and said this was it.There was no disability equipment at all save for a disabled seat fixed far too high on the wall by the shower. I wasn't tall enough to be able to sit on it comfortably. I am a member attending Clifton Bristol club where every attention is paid to disabled members with all the equipment they need and believe that everyone, disabled or not, should be able to access everything. You say there's wheel chair access but what about when you get into the club. There's nothing there!

This is a well-equipped gym with excellent facilities. There is a large free weight area, a lot of weight stations, squat racks and a bodyweight training area with two punch bags. It is clean, busy without being overcrowded, and has a good atmosphere - no attitude. Benefits from a cafe area and pool/sauna.

Went today have been going for over 20 years. Where do I start; the showers - most not working and doors left open with just pipes out the wall. The costume drier gone and just missing again pipes out the wall. The changing rooms freezing. The jacuzzi shut. Just poor for a private gym.

Went to find out details for joining. The doors were not opening, was unsure if they were not working or were locked. There were 5 staff at the front desk nobody made eye contact coz they would have to come.a young ladies walked up later to say closed, but was extremely rude. By this time someone else joined at the door too. There is no timing at the front neither do they say closed. You have lost a member already at least the active centre staff at bradley stoke are pleasant, not arrogant and rude and care for people who come to join. It does not take much to walk up with a smile and say we are closed when you see someone at ur front door, diabolical.

I’ve been a member for over a year now and am pleased with the cleanliness and quality of the facilities. The gym and pool are very well maintained and the staff are excellent. Professional, polite and very helpful members of staff. Recommended.
