I would have to say the fish tasted superb, chips also really nice. However the reason for my score is the price and amount recieved. I choose a medium fish around just under ten pound. Nothing more than a small fish. And the biggest sting £5.30 for a large chips the amount you would expect to be considerable however for that sort of money very expensive

A little disappointed given reviews and personal recommendations from two people. You have to order from the outside and wait outside for your order. Its quite a narrow residential road and doesn't feel very welcoming. Food is freshly cooked, however we found the chips to be overpriced for the portion size and a little undercooked. Maybe we got them on an off day.

Very nice fish and chips, had the cod and chips. My wife had calamari and scampi too, which she really enjoyed. Reasonable prices. Parking available nearby. A short walk from the high promenade where you can eat your fish and chips with a view. Seagulls enjoyed some too.

I cannot believe how much fish and chips costs these days, but if you're going to fork out you may as well get the best. Me and my wife shared a large haddock and large chips, which was around £17. A regular chips would have been fine. Ate on a bench up the road. Beautiful. Would go back. Be warned - big queues, but actually food was ready in about 15 mins which is fine.

Superb chip shop with a large variety of different accompaniments to have with your chips. All our food was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious even after we had a half hour drive home it was all still beautifully warm. Great service. Thanks for a delicious evening meal.

Delicious food and huge portions. The best takeaway chips I've had in a long time. Batter was lovely and crispy. Location is great for eating on the clifftops at Babbacome.

I believe I've already done a review as this is our go to and by far the best chippy around. Until a month ago, the restaurant had been closed since the 1st lockdown. We visited today & the quality of the food & service was top rate as ever. What some might not realise is that they change the oil in their friers twice daily so the fried fish and chips always taste "clean" & crisp. Their mushy peas are the best and all items even down to the curry sauce & pickled eggs are great quality. **July 2022 update** Very unfortunately the restaurant is now permanently closed. The take-away is still as great & popular as ever however.

It seemed that most people sitting on the benches overlooking the scenery at Babbacombe were all eating fish n chips from Hanbury. We thought we would give it a try and we could see why they were so popular. Served in an easy to share box, with forks, they really were the tastiest fish and chips you could want. A great thing to eat whilst enjoying the fantastic views over the bay.
