I was in the store on Tuesday when a lady fell on the pavement outside. I thought the staff acted in a very caring manner. They took her out a new quilt and pillows from their stock to help the lady be warm and comfortable while waiting for the ambulance. We'll done to all staff concerned.
My elderly parents were in the newtownards store today to return an item after being told before Christmas that they had 28 days to return it. This member of staff was ridiculously ignorant and rude to them and repeatedly argued that it was 14 days and wouldn't give them a refund despite them having the receipt. My mum asked to speak to a manager and she snapped at her that she was the supervisor. Upon leaving the store, she shouted at my parents ".Don't be coming back here" very loudly and aggressively in front of other customers who also heard her. I have to say I'm absolutely disgusted with this behaviour! My parents have been shopping at your store for years and spent almost £500 in it in December alone on Christmas presents. I've never seen or heard a more vile member of staff in my life in any shop. Another customer remarked to my parents how rude she was and they were left shaken leaving the store. This behaviour is absolutely disgusting. I'd like to know why you employ staff members so rude and with zero customer service skills?
A bit of a mixup. Do not go looking for something iin particular. You may be lucky to pick up something. Not the shop it was.
Pretty dreadful store, old fashioned clothes, stinking dirty toilets. Floors broken and held together with some type of tape. Staff that look like they've lost the will to live and I don't blame them.
Old building, fusty smell in some of the areas. Not a great shopping experience, could do with modernising.
Bought actifry end of September. Chips not nice, tried every way. Took it back to Menarys Newtownards. The staff member and manager were extreemly unhelpful. Would not accept it back. Go to Amazon for better service. Terrible experience.
Called in to get bed sheets etc. and were lucky to take advantage of their sale. Sad though that upstairs is now closed. It's as if they are downsizing. I hope that's all and they are not closing down because we are so lucky to have a store like this in our town.
One of the "must shops" to visit in Newtownards. Fantastic value and I always get a bargain. Most staff are very pleasant, others must be having a bad day! Love the homeware and household on the first floor, Wallis and off course the stunning ladies clothing labels on the top floor inc Planet. Keep up the great work, there's few great places to shop on the High Street left.
