   Called in to get an outfit for my Xmas party today. The guy, Chris who served me was first class. Helped me style an outfit - shoes, belt, shirt, half zip and trousers. When I pointed out the shoes I liked he came back with the my correct size even though I'd not told him. What a guess and what attention to detail. I was sorted and out in less than 20 mins. Great service. Thanks Chris.

   Ordered online but different colour arrived to what was pictured. They said to return and if they were a different colour they'd refund both outbound and return postage so I did. No refund . Followed it up with several emails over about a month that got ignored. Eventually they said they were the same colour as were pictured which wasn't true. By this time they'd been removed from the website so I couldn't screenshot it and contest it.

   Ordered an item online which was delivered quickly. I ordered the in correct size, I contacted Wallace by phone. John ordered my sized item for me and I collected it in shop. We found the staff to be friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. The shop had a great range of clothes and reasonable prices. I highly recommend this shop. Just a pity they stopped selling women’s clothes as my wife and I will return to this shop again

   Poor customer service by Mrs Wallace herself! I bought a pair of size 7 school shoes for my daughter and was given a size 6 having been handed these by the assistant on the date of purchase. When this was picked up on by me at the start of the school term, I immediately contacted Wallace’s. I was told twice by Mrs Wallace that she didn’t believe me and that this “could never happen”. The fact that it did happen seemingly not being enough proof for her. After being treated like a liar in the shop, Mrs Wallace eventually swapped the shoes for me. At no point would Mrs Wallace make eye contact with me and treated me like appallingly during our interaction. Really disappointed as the staff are normally lovely, Mrs Wallace could do with acquiring some customer service skills though.

   Bought a pair of boots today at 16:00. I tried them on and they felt ok. Kids messing about so I thought I’d buy them and take them home and try them on with everyday socks. Bought the boots and paid. Headed home and put them on again. I decided they were too tight so I headed back to exchange or return them before 17:00 so less than an hour later. I bought a size 8 that were too tight. I tried a nine and there were very big. I asked for a refund to be told “shop policy is no refunds on everything” I try to buy local where I can but let’s be honest this policy isn’t looking after the ‘local’ or any customer for that. I can buy the same boots with no quibble returns online. TRY BEFORE YOU BUY!!! Definitely will not grace the door of Wallace’s again. Outdated non customer orientated policies which is embarrassing for staff and customers.

   Bought a suit a few months ago and was very pleased with the level of service I received. The assistant took the time to pick out a few suits based on the description of what I was looking for and even recommend the sizes I should be wearing. Unfortunately about 2½ months later the trousers started to come apart at a seem and then, a tear developed on the main fabric at the back pocket which I don't even use. I took them back, they sent them away to be reviewed, and within three days they rang to tell me there was a new pair waiting for me. Cannot ask for better service!
