    Critchley is a proper hardware store. People there who know what they're talking about and are happy to share their knowledge to help. Being able to buy the amount of screws, washers etc you need rather than a prepared amount is a great benefit. Choice is wide and varied. I wouldn't go anywhere else and there are shops nearer to me.

    I'd been to 2 other hardware stores before I came here. I mentioned at the counter the job I needed to do but unsure what to buy and the man behind the counter was very helpful and directed me straight away to the product. When I wasn't sure where to go another sales assistant went and fetched it for me. The first man explained how to do the task. It's a nice big shop, I much preferred the face to face help and advice to online buying, which had been suggested.

They stock a large selection of goods suitable for every home DYIer Though the items I've bought cost slightly more the larger stores, it's the convenience which brings me back to this shop.
