   Could be so much better. The whole store is laid out weird. I went to get some suit trousers, they couldn't be further from the changing room! You have to walk through the home department to get there! It's very annoying if you want to try a few different things on. There also is an absence of pricing on a lot of things and apparently no real system for where things should be. I found the same trousers in three locations and none of them were my size! Most of them didn't have hanger size markers, so I had to find the labels on them all, one by one. I know it's not exactly Harrods, but what a horrible place to shop! Could be easily sorted.

   Bought a nice jacket and waste coat for my husband, but didn't like the self-service had to ask for( I'm not very good using these-it does put me off, shopping ) I eas helped by an assistant but she wasent very sympathetic when I said I didn't like self service

   One time love going into shop now seems to be less choice also checkout is a hassle self service can be hard having to take security tags off coat hangers to be put into slot all the while staff stood just watching not very enjoyable shopping experience any more

   We went looking for a bowtie and couldn't find one but we did find a shirt that had a bowtie on it, and the price was very good. Next time I will have a better look around at the other clothes on offer.

   Service rude to customers. I was in the shop today, waiting in the queue. In front of me waiting for a few people plus one lady who worked there. I'm in 9month pregnant, don't even think about asking to let me go in front of anyone. Unfortunately, the worker looked at me several times unfriendly. She moved out of the queue to pick up the item, looks at me, and said she was not going anywhere don't even think to take her place. I didn't, but I don't like the way how she treated women during pregnancy. Very rude.

   Matalan has started to evolve into the next level of quality products with a store layout that looks similar to Next. I have bought apparel from here and have been pleasantly surprised by the quality. This store sells homewards and has a Christmas shop as well as clothing and is well staffed. Huge car park shared with Halfords and is free to park, Costa coffee is a five min walk away.
