   I normally shop at Tesco Extra Lichfield. The difference between the two stores is night and day. Organised chaos and a complete lack of customer service is what comes to mind. We decided to order a delivery for a slot between 20:00-21:00. Got to close to 22:00. No word off the store or driver, no phonecall etc. Not a jot. Phoned up central customer services who informed us we had received an email close to 21:00 (again, no courtesy phone calls) saying the store had a problem with the van (which gets more interesting further down). How an email suffices I do not know but it is a frankly pitiful attempt at customer service (coming from someone who worked in customer services for 15 years to add). The done thing is to try to make contact via phone and have a conversation, like a human. Anywho, we were asked if we could come in to collect it from the store that night to which we refused, we ordered delivery on this occasion due to our own family constraints. The store then asked the rep if we'd be happy to come in the following day which they passed on to us and we reluctantly agreed. This is where it gets interesting. I took some time out of the middle of my working day to collect the order as we were unable to after work. Short story long, I have subsequently wasted 2 hours of my time driving backwards and forwards (which I now owe work) because ultimately when I got home there were items missing from the order and had to drive back again to pick up the missing items (which no apology was given, I was told to go and find them myself in the shop, heaven forbid a member of staff was put out). Important to note I didn't receive an apology or a thank you for coming in (twice) off any of the staff I interacted with in store and I had to go out of my way to ask what had happened to the van to justify this whole affair. After the lad who had brought the food out finished talking about him new haircut to his colleagues on security, I was told he wasn't sure but he knew a number of vans were effectively out of service and one had dumped coolant all over the floor the yard. I hope the management and perhaps even regional manager reads this. I would welcome a chat about how they might go about a. Upskilling their staff in basic customer service b. How day to day operations should operate and how it is THEIR problem, not the customers if things (like vans) breakdown. Absolute shambles of a store and could learn a thing or two from the Lichfield store.

   I use to love going to this Tesco, however the last few times I have been I’ve had a terrible experience with the staff they have been rude to not just myself but my partner and little son I thought maybe it was a one off but when I went again today i had the same experience and it is always the older ladies! I am very disappointed with the customer service I will not be shopping here again! Very sad to say!

   Me and my family come here quite often. It is a great place and lovely staff. They are very nicely organised and are always stocked up on things. The prices are decent and i highly recommend getting a Tesco clubcard as overall it is a great purchase and saves a lot of money. They have a huge variety of parking with 1 huge bottom floor and a decent second floor parking.

   I pre ordered some food to click and collect on 23rd from Tesco Extra, Walsall. I received a phone call prior to my collection to say that part of my order could not be found. Very disappointed, but early evening I received another call from a lovely man called Phil. He was concerned that I had not received my goods so he went above and beyond delivering to my door at 8.45pm. Superb customer service, thank you it is really appreciated.
