   Fairly negative experience on Sunday 7th December. The two girls on the register were too busy talking to each other instead of paying attention to me and the customer next to me. I came back later on in the day with my other son and there was another girl on till with them two who did pay a lot of attention to us engaging as she should. The other two were stood there faffing with a stapler and chatting about their subway orders while one of them was trying to scan the customers items. The customer didn’t look amused. I’m aware that you make friends as you work but you are payed to work not payed to talk along side working. At least when you have a customer in-front of you help them then go back to your Chat.

   The review is for the member of staff that has just served me at 18.32 on the 27th October 2025 After a hefty delay due to the man in front of me having issues with a return ( it cant be helped), the cashier didn't apologise for the delay, nor did he acknowledge payment, or say anything. No eye contact either. He'd be better suited to non customer facing roles. Swap him out please

   Younger staff are fantastic. Older staff member behind till was rude as hell. Spoke to me like I was dirt when I asked for a fitting room, shouted at me that I was only allowed 3 items, and then when I got to the front of the queue to pay she held her hand out to me. Not one word. “Hi” “can I help” “who’s next”. Nothing. As I left she radio’d to a colleague “he has paid for X only” as if I was trying to steal. Manners and consideration cost nothing. Won’t shop there again. Shame; as younger staff were kind and friendly.

   I went today the lad serving me was nothing but rude. Was waiting at the till for yonks before i went and found a girl who called him over for me. She was lovely and nothing but polite. However, this lad didn’t even say “Hello” or “You alright”, just got on with it. He he used no manners or politeness even when the girl that called him over for me had to come and do something on the till to allow him to cancel one of my items, no “thank you” or “please” towards her. Another issue was that there was incorrect pricing on the items i wanted. Which isn’t down to his fault but the stores fault but he could have gone about it in a more polite way. When he eventually scanned all my items after the fuss, he mumbled and was very quiet. He Shoved my items in the bag and did not even attempt to fold them. What happened to training people on till properly. When i eventually left the till he didn’t say “thank you” “bye” “see you later” or whatever else could have been said. Shoved my reciept in the bag and he stared into the abis. I left the till and made my way to the exit. I saw another Woman and Man at the little desk thing next to the exit and smiled at them both to see if they were more customer service trained than the lad at the till. They both gave me a big smile back. It’s a shame that the one staff member that i actually had to encounter and be helped by was rude. The others i saw (The two at the exit area and the girl i went up to) seemed rather kind and knew what customer service was!

   Went to this store yesterday. We just walked in and started to look around when who I assume was the manager proceeded to scream and shout at some members of staff and throw a heavy plastic box on the floor like a child having a tantrum. He clearly made the members of staff feel very uncomfortable and embarrassed as they went bright red. He did this infront of a shop full of customers who all looked around and also felt very uncomfortable. My partner asked one of the staff members if they were OK and if he was always like this. We left the shop after not really looking around because we felt embarrassed for everyone that had to work with him. What a poor manager you must be to have to reprimand your staff in that way. I hope it made him feel really clever. I'm sure these sales assistants don't get paid enough to have to deal with a toddler as their management.

   Walked in today and was impressed by the size of the store! It looks very well laid out and plenty of stock on display, however that doesn’t mean they have your size. Travelled to two separate sports direct and they were helpful, however in this store I couldn’t find a single member of staff to help with getting my shoe size, so we ended up going to the tills and asking where we were greeted by two giggling women. I proceeded to ask if they had my size and obviously one was a new member and didn’t know what or who to ask. The other female told her to ask another member of staff, to which that person couldn’t help. So in the end the woman behind the tills went out back to look. Great! At last!!! 5-6 minutes later she returned to say both of the shoes I selected are not in my size, but can I put these shoes back on display. THE CHEEKY COW! Do they not pay enough at sports direct? Because the staff I encountered today obviously didn’t want to be there and would rather have fun and giggles at the customers expense! I’d love to know what was so funny/entertaining.

   Absolutely shocking experience. Staff were grumpy and not willing to help, also refused the student discount which is clearly on Unidays. Furthermore, they had items with 2 for a certain price but only stocked one of each size so it was actually impossible to get this offer. They barely had any actual sporting shop and is really just a poorly managed clothes shop. The staff didn't even know to use the tills and had to keep calling the manager. Not impressed, I will not be returning.
