    We spent a week at one of Winnie Magee's apartments over the Coatmakers shop in Comber. It was a lovely place with bright and tasteful decor, lots of character and some great little details, making the most of the historical fabric of the building. Winnie was a great host, and made sure we had everything we needed, and was always available for a friendly chat. We had essentials in the fridge when we arrived, and Winnie had even put out some soft toys in the kids room. So long as you can climb the stairs, it's a great place to stay. Street parking outside the door was always available. I would certainly stay again.

    Having received two coats ordered from the 2024 RHS Malvern show, my wife and her sister loved the design but were slightly disappointed with the stiffness of the fabric in comparison to a coat purchased previously. Revisiting the 2025 RHS show we discussed the above and Winnie, without obiligation, offered to replace the two costs made with an alternative fabric. We couldnt fault Winnies' commitment to ensure that we were satisfied customers.

    I have just met Winnie at RHS Malvern (Winnie kindly sent me a ticket) and picked up my high fitted coat. I originally ordered online. Winnie Magee messaged me to check if I got my sizing correct. Good move as I hadn’t. Over a number of discussions we talked about colours and WM sent a sample coat for size and colours. Fabulous. Note this a bespoke coat and you have to trust the process. The result will be your own personal coat. The right size and your choice of colours. No doubt many admiring comments. And of course you’ll be stylish and dry. The twist is that WM sent me the short walking coat of my choice but I didn’t like the fit. Winnie was happy for a return and to find me another coat. Fast forward to today when I met Winnie and tried on loads of coats. And came away with perfection. Thank you Winnie.

    We recently stayed in the one bedroom apartment above Coatmakers for four nights. We travel to Belfast quite often to visit family, and this is, by a long way, the best accommodation we have found. The apartment is stunningly decorated and laid out. Everything you could think of needing is catered for. Beautifully relaxing annd comfortable after a long days sightseeing. Comber also has a number of shops, bars and cafes, so all your needs are catered for. Parking is no problem just outside the shop. Winnie is a wonderfully charming and thoughtful host. We will definitely stay here again. A home from home for sure.

    Tea and scones a must. Great baker in-house, responsible for the tasty treats. Lovely staff, cosy tea room with log burning stove. Just the place to while away some time in historic Comber before visiting the shop - designer coats, footwear and accessories. Always a pleasant experience.
