   From entering the store, we found the staff member to be very pushy. My husband and I wanted to purchase some water purification tablets which we found in the three for two section. We decided to pick up two other small items to make the offer. At the till there was a lot of confusion, and I don’t think she knew what she was doing. We were then told that we couldn’t do that offer and would need to pick up a fourth item to get a deal even though these items were clearly labelled 3 for 2. At some point in all of this she said the tablets were actually 1/2 price, not 3 for 2, but not if we bought them on their own (no POS said this). It was confusing indeed... After we had chosen a fourth item, the lady then told us the same thing again and tried to get us to pick up a fifth! Me and my husband were not going to pick up a fifth item as it was getting expensive and we only came for the water purification tablets. We felt like we were being tricked into spending more money. I will admit this did get our backs up a little bit and my husband decided that we would only get the water purification tablets and leave the rest. The lady then suddenly changed her mind and said we could do the original deal we wanted which was very convenient. Probably realised she'd lost a good sale. Frustrated, we only bought the tablets and left. If you're pushing your customers into buying more, your business is either struggling or you're just very greedy! Staff were pushy, unhelpful, and desperate! Speaking as someone who works in retail this is not how you do business if you want your customers to come back. We probably won't come again and would strongly advise any new customers to beware of getting tricked with the confusing deals!

   I'd been searching for a 'winter hoodie' for a while when I walked past Mountain Warehouse whilst on holiday in Looe. I went in and 10 minutes later came out with just what I wanted and at a bargain price! Excellent.

   A smallish branch of Mountain Warehouse, the staff member I spoke to was helpful, but lacked knowledge of the outdoor equipment they sell, but was very happy to go and find someone else to answer my questions. Worth a visit, especially as there's a lack of other outdoor stores in the area.
