Excellent to run around in the hot summer months. My 5 and 1 year old had a brilliant time. Nice safe location, great toilets, and little park.

Summer time gem. Wide open green, clean, spaces, huge splash park. Stretches the length of the green. Wooden framed play park, a small cafe, toilets. all within walking distance to the shopping centre. Very Limited paid parking. You can park in the shopping centre and walk over, it’s a 5 min walk. Great day out and it’s complete free.

Great place for day out with the family. Lots of green space for picnics over seeing the splash area. Reasonable distance from shops and food spots too. Parking can be limited so be sure to arrive at a decent time, i.e. 11am - 12 midday to have a better chance of good spot. There are still quite a few off roads for parking if needed.

Gone seriously downhill since the park warden was made redundant, broken glass, litter, general vandalism to the buildings but it's OK for the kids as long as you keep a close eye on where they are playing

A great space for the kids to enjoy a few hours. The splash park keeps them well entertained, before moving to the playground. The toilets are clean and the cafe provides some tasty snacks. The car park is small so if you get there late you'll have to park in the residential area behind the park. I tend to take the train from Hitchin as the park is a short walk from the train station.

Free fun for all ages, great play park for big and little ones then there's the big long stream of water chlorinated for cleanliness and fountains spurting from lit up holes in the ground, magical! Take a picnic (there's an ice cream hut selling teas and coffees, cold drink etc) a picnic blanket and a handful of spare clothes and towels. That's a free day out sorted! Parking however is coin only and about £6 in change will see you right. You can also fill up your water bottles at the water fountain free of charge and changing/toilet facilities are available aswell.

A large play area as well as a basic but perfectly adequate water area suitable for young children (up to about 11 IMHO). Quite a bit of space for picnics as well. Some parking but can be limited in busy periods although you should be able to find spaces within a short walk.
