   I need to make it clear from the start that my review is based on a transaction which was organised through the ‘Too Good to Go’ app which is used to stop food waste. This was my first visit to Trait Coffee in Comber and as I often visit the town through the year, I had read several positive reviews of Trait’s great food and coffee options. In this case I had paid a £4 reduced price for goods which were listed as being worth £12. I was provided with a croissant and two Pain au Chocolat. These were dry and quite hard. I was definitely expecting some food items which were fresh on the day and suitable for consumption. I would have been very angry to have received these as a sit-in customer who had paid £4 for each item. If the pastries provided were indeed being sold at £4 per item, I would have been very surprised, especially when the (expensive) well known chains out there are charging around £3 for croissant. I was going to buy a coffee while I was there, but as I was feeling disappointed with the ‘Too Good To Go’ bag, I decided leave it. Based on this first experience of Trait Coffee, I would very much doubt that I’ll be visiting again

   Brilliant coffee shop, cannot fault it whatsoever. Tasty coffee and treats made in house. Super friendly and accepting staff who remember their customers! A cozy spot for working away or a bit of alone time. ☕️

   This cosy cafe does a great long black and has friendly staff who'll have a chat with regulars and newcomers alike. It was a Sunday when I stopped by, so I was doubly pleased to find somewhere that was open! Trait is also dog friendly.

   Well, in the middle of sleepy little Comber town, is one of the best coffee shops I've experienced for a very long time. How much flavour can you pack into a cup of coffee? Try a V60 from here (sounds like an old Citroen model) and the flavours just burst out. And the tray-bakes are excellent too. You will not be disappointed here. Truly excellent.
