Just Gave 5 bags of various clothes and shoes and I was made to feel uncomfortable by the lady acceceping the donation, she made me feel as if SHE was doing ME a favour by taking the FREE clothes..!
A lovely shop,well laid out and the staff couldn't be more helpful and really pleasant, definitely be going there again.
Great shop and lovely staff. Really nice to see a shop laid out well and with so much variety. I will definitely make a point of stopping by more when driving past from Cornwall.
Tried three times to donate to this shop. Twice it was shut early. Today I sat for ages in the car park queuing to enter. Finally got in to the store at 3 mins past 4pm and they wouldn't take my donation because they stop taking at 4pm. The assistant was rude and dismissive even though I explained I'd been stuck in the traffic outside for ages. I won't ever bother with this store again, I'll take it to charity shop that appreciates donations. I then sat back in the car park queuing to get back out and watched the volunteers do absolutely nothing, standing around chatting and dancing, but apparently they were 'too busy' to process my donation. Appalling way to treat customers.
UPDATED REVIEW DO NOT BUY ANYTHING ELECTRICAL FROM SUE RYDER I would strongly urge anyone who is considering purchasing an electrical item NOT TOO. The fridge freezer purchased does not work. The engineer who came to assess advised that EnviroCon, who refurbished said piece of crap, would not have switched it on too check. Now I have been told that not only can they not source a replacement, but if I want to return it I would not only lose the delivery fee, but would incur a further fee for transporting the dammed thing back to Sue Ryder. Message sent to us at 1245pm advising that our delivery would be between 9am and 4pm that day, but this was only after we had called the store to ask when the delivery would be due. The assistant manager Lisa is rude and dismissive. Having waited from the receipt of the text message to nearly an hour past the expected delivery time I called the store and was told that it wasn't there problem and that the delivery driver was on the way. Just after 6pm they arrived. And to top it off a piece if the fridge freezer is missing. Not impressed.
Good sized charity shop with lots of stock. It's in a great location with free parking right outside and it's close to Iceland and Home Bargains so a good place to stop off and have a browse if you are in the area.
I really love it in this place and I drive an hour to come here to visit, however I have recently been here twice in the last month and the lack of toys or children's things is quite concerning. And also the prices of women's clothing is terrible expensive! £3-4 a t shirt sometimes even £5...some of it is more expensive than buying this brand new from Primark! Honestly shocking
Smells fusty, think the reviews have been done by friends and honest view of the layout is a bit confined in certain areas lack of visual impact more customer acknowledgement. More special events to sell certain clothes and make furniture stand out with spotlights research how furniture is displayed in a furniture shop. Have been in and out in the space of 20-30 nothing outstanding.
Lovely charity shop with great prices and stock. The furniture items aren't overpriced and the clothes are nice quality. Really enjoyed our time there.
I bought a beautiful drinks trolley. Delivery was straight forward. I didn't unpack it for a while due to house move. Very easy to assemble and looks stunning in our new house.
