    Made online purchase for a Shark Car Detailing Kit which once received didn’t fit the Shark vacuum I have. As per distance selling regulations I asked for a full refund but Beacon said I could only get a refund of the product cost not the postage I paid for purchasing (£5.99) even though I would also incur postage cost to return item. 0 stars seller

    Excellent customer service given by Will this morning. My wife and I went into the store looking for a new washing machine and wanting to support a local firm. Will approached us in a friendly, polite manner. He was extremely knowledgeable and answered all our queries and even supplied extra information.     From initial placing of the order for our new cooker to delivery and installation the service was excellent. While it was disappointing not have it in time for Christmas, Beacon were honest about the delivery time and it arrived as stated - shortly after New Year. The two lads who delivered and installed it were very friendly and efficient, getting the cooker up two sets of stairs, installing it and taking away the old one for recycling.     Cooker arrived broken. Used them for several years but the customer service is now very poor, one of the managers attitude is disgraceful. Time to move on and spend my hard earned money elsewhere. Never again.

    Where do I start? Ordered from them as they stated on the website it was in stock and delivery available the same week. After paying close to £1k, received a phone call to tell me that it is not in stock and they would order for Friday with delivery the following week. Then received a phone call on the following Monday to tell me its in and I could have it delivered next week. I refused this and they managed to find me a slot for the Wednesday. Fitters arrived at 1830, all in a bit of a rush. Move on 2 months and a leak appears from the front of the washing machine. Moved the machine out to find extensive damage caused by the leaking connection they had fitted, to the point where the floor and sides of the kitchen units are ruined. They did visit and then told me they only offer a fitting guarantee for 48 hours. They might not respond to this as they didn't even have the courtesy to reply to my complaints, but please DO NOT USE. Go to HBH Woolacotts instead like I normally would, far better service and the installation guys there are far superior also. I am also having the repairs undertaken by a Contractor and will be sending the invoice to Beacon. Disgraceful service!
