The receptionists and GPs here are incompetent, to say the least. You have to chase them just to send out a prescription for life-saving medication—only for them to send half of it. Then they have the audacity to be dismissive or rude when questioned. There’s a 2–3 week wait just to be fobbed off. From what I can tell, there are only 4–5 GPs working here, and only 1–2 are full-time. The rest are part-time and seem to leave for the private sector. Honestly, if you register here, you’d be better off going to medical school to solve your own health problems.

After being with this practice for 12 possibly 15 years I feel it might be time for a change, the doctors are great "When you can get to see them now" I was and still am very ill and on daily medication for the rest of my life but when I need to consult a professional I'm confronted with inadequate reception staff who make no effort what so ever to at least try to fit you in, classic example I called for an appointment to see a GP, oh you're going to have to go to A&E or the walk in centre , great thanks I said, the walk in centre told me it was gout in my hand , you must see your GP immediately the lady said ,so I called back castle croft for a receptionist to say sorry you'll have to go to A&E Emergency doctors as I can't get you in, but you can call Monday morning if you want, Wow what a state we're in when we aren't even cared for properly, castle croft surgery once very highly rated and respected now it's just a building doing nothing

Trying to get an appointment at this surgery is a NIGHTMARE! You are told to call at 8am for an appointment. So you phone at 8am and are told the telephone queue is full and call back another time! If you eventually get to speak with someone, they tell you all appointments are being released at 3pm! You turn up at the surgery at 2.57pm and are told you must wait till 3pm. Then you are told the appointments are only bookable at 8am in the morning! IT NOW APPEARS TO BE AN OFFENCE IF YOU SHOW ANY SIGNS OF YOUR ILLNESS (i.e. stress, anxiety or frustration) at this surgery! The staff can't tolerate the stress reactions of sick people in front of them, which spill over when the patient is trying to get to see their doctor and know appointments are available, but are faced with a brick wall of obstruction from the staff in the reception!

Not easy for me to make appointments for work reasons, but regardless, the surgery and staff are never anything but friendly and helpful and will go above and beyond. At a time when services are stretched, I try, like many of us, to seek help from the chemist, this isn’t always viable and the surgery have always offered appointments when available and gone above and beyond. Their support is appreciated and I would recommend their surgery. Thanks again

I have been trying for 2 weeks to call the practice, the receptionist which is doing the call back has no empathy and she keeps saying she can't hear me whilst her other colleague could hear me loud and clear, when I called back, after all appointments were booked. You'll need to check your line cause people need their doctor and we can't just stay sick because of one receptionist who's not in a mood to help the patients. That didn't happen only once, but every day for 2 weeks.

Such a wonderful GP Practice! The Doctors there have been truly brilliant in helping me care for my elderly parents, one with severe dementia. I am so grateful for all the help and support I have received. Thank you. Especially to Dr Uppala.

The administration at this practice is poor at best and incompetent at worst! The Practice Manager couldn't even get the paperwork sorted properly concerning the death of my mother-in-law, causing us a wasted journey to register her death. This has caused further grief and sadness to the family of the deceased.

Doctors are brilliant. Office girls on reception are absolutely terrible Never answer the phone. You can stand at reception and see into the office and the phones just ring while they chat between themselves. When you do get through (after 5 attempts of holding on until the phone cuts off )your told you can only book appointments for the following week on a Tuesday and Thursday. Absolute joke Then told to phone first thing in the morning for a same day appointment. I work nights so that won’t work. When you say you don’t want a next day appointment and can wait till next week they say the same phone back on a Tuesday or Thursday. The doctors need to have a serious word with the reception/ office girls. This is a disgrace and are giving the practice a bad name. As I say the doctors are some of the best in Wolverhampton, they are brilliant but the reception need a whole new team putting in place

I've made a phone call to be seen or called by a doctor as my lateral flow is positive for covid. I have mentioned that i believe I had seizures and the the fever doesn't go down bellow 39°c with paracetamol and ibuprofen! I have not been asked for any of my details. I've just been told to come back on Monday with a phone call and being told this are the covid symptoms. No guidance to call 111 or an ambulance. When I asked her if I should stay at home and die she said this is not nice of me to say something like this. She get offended. When I asked for her name she said she doesn't have to give me her name. I will go further with an official complaint as soon as I get better. For now I am waiting the ambulance. I won't recommend.
