I am getting my laser hair treatment since new management of optical express took over i had my first session with new staff and after 3 appointments she didnt do treatment properly. She was using lower settings and i didn’t feel anything was missing my area , lot of other issues. Filed complaint with company on 5th September and its 16th November, didn’t hear any Thing from their team . They told we solve within 20 working days and i am chasing since 6 weeks no answer . I was advised by their team to cancel session until you get Resolution and i missed 2 sessions because Of them . Highly Disappointed As spent lot of money and such a poor service and poor response to staff’s behaviour no action taken . I was getting same treatment in one third of what i paid here . I choose skin coz of reputation and previous experience of one of customer but new management highly disappointing . I had recent session and experience was same as i had in other 4 sessions but session i am complaining was different and wasnt done properly .

Save your money and stay away!!! Absolutely terrible service left waiting outside for 10 mins. I didn't get a message to say they were going to be late called the branch said they were going to get someone to open the door but no one showed up. I even waited in the car park for a minute to see if they would call but nothing. I was already nervous about going because it was my first time they have completely ruined my experience. I even paid a deposit what an absolute joke. I wish I saw the reviews before booking.

I arrived for my appointment yesterday to find the company had gone into administration that morning. No pre warning via even a quick email to myself (or their staff it seems) allowing me to travel 1 hour each way for nothing. I paid £800 for a 8 course treatment and only received one treatment. No information updated since yesterday on their website about how to process a refund with their administrators or even who is handling the administration. Absolutely ridiculous, I suggest you remember the consumer rights act and communicate with your previously very loyal customers about how to get there hard earned cash back for services they haven’t received!!

On 3 occasions I’ve travelled an hour to my appointment (booking time off work) and the appointment hasn’t gone ahead because of the machine not working. It’s impossible to get through to the telephone line to check if the machine is working before your appointment which you shouldn’t have to do. I’ve been on hold 45 mins at a time. On one occasion I was told I couldn’t have the treatment because I had just returned from holiday. They should let you know this information before getting you to travel to appointments. They changed the location of my appointments to Birmingham mid way through treatment which takes a 1 hr 45 each way and didn’t let me know. I just received a text. Apparently because the girl left and they had to hire a replacement. I wouldn’t have pre paid if I knew the location would change. Never received an apology for wasting my time, not once but 3 different times. I wouldn’t bother using Skin clinics. Nothing professional about it.

The head office booking system is an absolute shambles. Booked a facial, confirmed via text message only to turn up with the staff not knowing about the appointment. This happened a few years ago in 2010 when my laser hair removal appointment had been "booked and confirmed ". On 2 seperate occasions Compton Rd clinic were not aware of my appointment, which is why went to another clinic. Thought I'd give sk:n another try, it seems 13 years on nothing has changed. Try calling the number to get through to the initial booking centre, be patient and willing to spare a good part of the day on hold. Save your time, money and sanity. Go elsewhere, there are many competitors who offer the same procedures with excellent, efficient service.
