Absolutely vile. The rooms stink to high heaven, the bed linen and the one flat pillow you get is smelly, it stinks of dirty hair and sweat, there is so much damp on the window sill, the bathroom was dirty and mouldy, there were what looked like cigarettes burns on the shower pan, one quality thing that the water pressure was good and hot, The carpet in the rooms smell like sick and dirty dog, we wouldn’t walk with out our shoes on, also there were sick stains and smells all along the corridor carpet. Would definitely not stay here again. We would rather sleep in a tent on the ring road

Stayed in multiple rooms over a 6 week duration for work: - Biggest problem is inability to sleep due to noise: most rooms face out to the main road; windows are entirely non-sound proofed. It feels as though the window is wide open. You WILL get woken early by road traffic. Final night I upgraded to a room facing away from the main road, only to be woken by a drunk bunch of hotel guests loitering drinking at the back entrance for about an hour who pretty much woke up the whole building (reception did nothing despite being asked to). - Rooms all have that dank smell you often get in really cheap lodges; some kind of mix of body odour versus commercial cleaning products. - WiFi super unstable and unusable from most rooms. - Each room has a single plug socket, almost always in the most inconvenient location imaginable. - Breakfast highly variable - one time it was literally just some baked beans and a few grilled mushrooms (along with the usual toaster and bread). - Lots of rooms have faulty equipment like non-working lights or broken heating heater. - Rooms will often have finishing supplies; once the room I was in barely had any toilet roll left. Another time there was barely any shower wash left. The only Positive is the cheap price and central location. You get what you pay for; fine as long as you don't mind likely only getting a few hours of sleep in the most basic room possible, before being abruptly woken up by noise from something or another.

I wasn't actually going to leave a review, but they've had the cheek to email and ask, so here you have it. DO NOT STAY HERE. Find ANYWHERE else. The whole place is an armpit. The mattress was flat as a pancake, springs hitting you everywhere. The single pillow each person is allocated is wafer thin. Went downstairs to ask for more pillows. Response given, from the most useless, uninspired staff in history was "No, not one spare one in the whole hotel". Tried to buy a drink from vending machine and despite the machine being full, like everything else, it didnt work. The staff, again, could not have cared less or been less helpful. Between the pillow, the springs in the bed & the staff, you'd get more support from the current government. For your own sake, read this review and go elsewhere. I've stayed at the Novotel and the Premier Inn recently (both were full), both are local, pay the difference and stay there. Or stay at home. Or in a tent. This place is TRASH!!!

Very good price/value. Rooms are small and simple but perfectly clean. I have mixed feelings about the staff. Some of them was very friendly, some of them not really. Overall I was happy with this hotel. Unfortunately I couldn't try breakfast because I had to checkout early due to a flight change. Location is really good. 10 mins of walk from train station.

It's a 2* hotel so I didn't expect much but I was pleasantly surprised. It's clean, our room was tidy, the bed comfy and the cooked breakfast more than adequate. If you need somewhere within easy walking distance of the town centre you couldn't really do much better for the price. We are back in town again next year and I've no problem rebooking here.

I will never use the hotel again. Paid Β£70 for one night equivalent to Premier Inn price but service and amenities comparatively lower than Premier Inn. Won't recommend for family with teenagers. Pros: Bed well made Cons: 1. Not disability friendly or accessible. The reception is on the 1st floor and there was no signage to a lift, so not sure if there was one 2. Receptionist referred me to their small print when I arrived which was a Red Flag for me. Guest information should not be hidden but displayed clearly in my opinion. 3. Room was smelling of urine, it was terrible. Arrived past 11 at night and just wanted to go to sleep so ignored it but the stench was horrible. 4. The body wash bottle was almost empty which was shocking so we had nothing to use 5. The 3 beds were very uncomfortable, I couldn't sleep on the double bed as it felt like jelly, too soft; my child slept on it and the single bed was like wood with panels. We woke up with aches and pain. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with a health condition or for elderly people. 6. Plates and cutlery for breakfast were kept by the staff and after verification, each of us were given one flat plate and one bowl to eat, but my teenagers were given tiny plates like baby plates with the claim that the price was different for the teenagers. It was very embarrassing and my kids were shocked. I opened their website and proved to them that I paid for 3 guests, and not lower for the teenagers and they said, we didn't know, we thought the price was different, it used to be, we can give you bigger plates now. We left without eating.

Canny Hotel, staff friendly, fairly cheap and had a nice cooked breakfast in the morning. Parking was fairly hard to find in the dark and costs Β£5 a night, this could have been stated on bookings. For the price I was happy enough however, The only thing really magic is the button on the top of the remote(which doesn’t work). The bathroom needs sorted as there was black mould. Includes standard heater and wonky tv. The kettle was clean and did have a good nights sleep.

The room is filthy, the staff was rude and the shower handle was broken. I paid Β£70 for my room and I regret it!! I have been in nicer hotels with cheaper prices.

I've seen reviews here that people were unhappy with their rooms. I can see their point... But I stayed here for a night out drinking... Bed feels like the most comfy cloud when you've had a few. Walking distance from bars. What more do you expect? Personally really liked it. I'd come back.

We had an accessible twin room. It was very tired. It needs painting but at the very least just cleaning. The floor was strewn with crumbs and fluff. The mattresses were so thin, you could feel every spring. The price paid was Premier Inn equivalent and the hotel was not Premier Inn equivalent. It is a good location in Wolverhampton though, with parking at a reasonable rate.
