Stayed here one night. Rooms are in a separate 'block' to the pub. Reception is in the pub. Quick check in, if a little impersonal. My wife is disabled, so booked a disabled room. No shelves in the bathroom to put any toiletries. W.C. too close to the basin. Water from shower only tepid, couldn't use. The automatic closures on all doors of the block are too fierce. Can't help but slam them. No excuse for no soft closures these days. Breakfast was good. Partly self service. Because of the accommodation, wouldn't stay here again.

Went for lunch today with girlfriends for xmas meet up. Lovely carvery, great service. Had a fire alarm so had to evacuate but the manager Samantha and staff were excellent and we not outside for long.

Rooms are good, spacious and comfortable. Nice heavy doors and decent soundproofing so it was quiet on a Saturday night, but the Aircon/heating unit is very noisy so had to switch it off to sleep, and the toilet roll is poor quality. Room was acceptably clean. Plentiful parking. Unfortunately the carvery was a disappointment. The turkey was actually very good, succulent and tasty, but the rest of it was completely tasteless with watery gravy and overcooked vegetables. Very badly overcooked, and dry roast potatoes. I haven't seen sprouts that colour since my grandmother died!

Wasn’t sure what to expect - last minute booking out of necessity not choice. Check in was swift, room was a good size for a family of four and nicely set out. Breakfast was great - seated right away, food cooked to order. Great value overnight stay en router to London.

Popped in for a drink on the way to sizzling g wok for a family birthday. We were greeted by Zak who made us very welcome and had a chat about the pub itself. The pub was spotless, good choice of food or carvery. We will definitely return for food, highly recommend.

We enjoyed the say at Spread Eagle Hotel because it was a very cosy and friendly environment. From the manager who checked us in, to the bar/restaurant staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, it was quite and the bed was perfect which alowed us to sleep soundly. We were also were able to catch up on the world cup match through the room TV. The garden space was amazing with area for the kids (or adult to spend some time). Overall, we enjoyed the say and surely will be coming again when passing through this area. Thank you.
