Perfect place for nature lovers and for wild swim. Beautiful little waterfall and scenery around it amazing good spot for photography.

A nice spot to visit, but there’s no official parking available on-site. It’s better to park along the main road and walk to the location. Since there are no shops nearby, make sure to carry your own food and snacks. Important: Swimming or bathing is not safe here, you will see warning boards at the site. Overall, it’s a great place to enjoy nature with friends and family

Weekends it's very crowdy. Parking is limited have to park on top and walk atleast 5 to 10 mins recommend not to carry to much stuff. Water is not so clean.

very nice place you can paddleboard or swim, unfortunately the way down from the parked car on the main road can be troublesome if you have a lot of stuff, children, dogs, etc. it's best to have a stroller. unfortunately there are no toilets so no. 2 can be troublesome. besides, who can swim has the upper deep part of the river and children under the waterfall have water up to their ankles to play safely.

Such a lovely spot for a cold dip on a sunny day or any time really. Absolutely beautiful weir and the river seems clean here. The access to water is down steps or dirt slopes so not easy for less mobile persons. The parking is the big issue as down Ferry lane is very tight with no real places to park though a handful of cars do manage one has to consider emergency access if required could be blocked and delayed because of irresponsible parking. The canal walk is awesome and well maintained, the field with weir access has been mowed but still a bit rough to walk on and the grass by edge of weir is patchy and dusty . Overall for a fit family or couples it's a privilege to be allowed access. I wish all humans felt the same cause some still leave rubbish and dog mess despite their being ample size dumpsters to clear it !!!

Great spot for a dog walk or a walk with family! Parking is a bit challenging so I’d recommend parking on the main road and walking down. Parking on the road by the Weir would block emergency access. I’m a little cautious about the rail crossing and the emergency access. But that being said, it’s a beautifully maintain spot of land and it’s a real privilege that the public are allowed to go use it!

A surprising find on an evening walk from our narrow boat mooring. Easy to miss if you cruise along the canal, but definitely worth a visit. No entry fee to see the weir.

Beautiful! You can reach it by walking/cycling along the canal or by car. If you want to relax better going early in the morning and week days if possible as very popular for groups in summer and the field close to it is not huge if you want to sit and have a picnic. You can also walk or swim there with caution obviously. Free of charge but at the entry of the field there is a box for coin donation so bringing a pound or 2 to help keep the place tidy and cared for would be nice. If you want to drink or eat there remember to take a bin bag with you and bring your rubbish "at home" as there are no bins in the area.

Nice little place for swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking and a few good rope swings - in the summer there’s often a converted ambulance ice cream van that does really good rolled ice cream!
