Nice open space with fountains and sculptures. Seating areas and close to bars and resturants. Clean and tidy area with a mirror ball and access to the river.
The carnival was in full swing when we visited August 28th, great fun for a Thursday afternoon. The children thoroughly enjoyed the water balls and the hot sugared donuts were great.

When we visited Millennium Square on a Saturday during the school holidays in August, the atmosphere was lively and family-friendly. This is our first time visit here. A funfair had been set up, full of rides and child-friendly events. The shallow water features were popular. Children loved splashing around while adults could relax on nearby benches and enjoy the sunshine. There were plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby. We also found some unique spots perfect for taking memorable photos. We parked at the Harbourside Car Park, which was conveniently located but quite expensive, £7 for just an hour and six minutes.
Millennium Square will always mean a lot to me. One of my core memories is my mum bringing me here when I was really young. I remember running through the fountains like it was the best thing in the world. I can still hear the splash of the water and feel the sunshine on the stone while my mum stood nearby laughing. It was simple but magical. Even now when I walk through it brings all that back. But the square’s changed too. It’s moved with the times. There are cool events all year round, the Planetarium and science centre are just next door, and they do all sorts from big screens to light shows to food festivals. It’s become more than just a place to hang out. It’s like a little hub for everything. There are some great spots to eat nearby too. Places like Za Za Bazaar if you're with a group and want loads of choice, or something more chilled like The Stable or Pizza on the Park. Whether you’re grabbing a bite or sitting outside with a drink in the summer, it just adds to the vibe. It’s still full of life. Kids still play in the fountains like I did. People meet here before gigs or just sit out on a sunny day. It’s one of those places that somehow stays part of your life as you grow up.
Excellent car parking which is close to the City's harbour and quay side. Safe, well lit but quite expensive. Parking can be paid for by credit card or cash.
A nice open space with water fountains when I visited the water fountains was all off and some removed I'm guessing for repair as it was all fenced off. There is regularly something going on here threw the year and when I visited there was a funfair. From here is wear you access the carpark below and the vehicle entrance is next to the square.
Winter wonderland was happening when we were there. Very festive. Yorkshire Pudding wraps ....to die for!
Very nice place to chill. Everything was closed because of the situation now but the square it’s worth a visit. I’d definitely go again.
