   I will be using Hilltop for all my car servicing in future. They are a bit of a distance from me, but I have found them to be conscientious, competent and good value. I was looking for a garage that serviced EVs. I had a knotty, intermittent fault with the low voltage electrics on one car. The alarm would go off at all times of the day & night, and occasionally it would refuse to switch on. The car was effectively unusable, but the main dealers quoted 4 weeks before they could even look at it. Most other garages would not touch it, because they were not EV trained. Hilltop was the closest HEVRA registered garage, so I gave them a try. They have been really, really good. I thought the car needed a couple of new relays, but Steve (?) suggested a slightly different cure, and it has behaved perfectly for the last 3 weeks, so it looks like he was right! Reading between the lines, it was a bit of a pain to fix, but the final cost was much less than I had been fearing. He has just serviced our other car, and fixed the poor handling. Again, the cost was very reasonable.

   Said they did a diagnostic check which cost £75 and didn't even pick up the leak in the heater matrix.RAC said that it should of been picked up.Paid £99 in total for topping up coolant l.Never going there again.Wouldnt recommended

   Very good and affordable service, good contact throughout the repair process and a job well done. It’s the small things like changing one of the bulbs, at the cost of the bulb and no labour after noticing it was out. Highly recommended!

   Found the philosophy of not preparing cars strange, viewed an Astra which had been onsite ons 2.5 months, there was a number of minor issues with the car, bald tyres, worn break pads, minor scratches which could be buffed out etc. I would have purchased the car if these issues had been rectified and the car was presented in its best possible second hand condition. The philosophy of not touching the car until purchase is a strange one, if I was selling second hand goods I would want my potential customers to see it at its best not trust that I will fix all the issues highlighted?!? A really backward way of selling in my opinion, I purchased a car 1 day later, it was the same spec, very very similar however I didn't have a list of issues that needed rectifying before purchase.
