   Went in Sunday afternoon, place was empty. Ordered our food, kids food came and twenty minutes later still not ours. When asked they were surprised it hadn’t arrived which was very obvious as no plates. Blamed it on the docket system but still no food twenty minutes later so decided to leave and asked for the bill. Young waiter didn’t seem to know what to do and only 5 tables at this stage. Another waiter then asked did we want the food taken off our bill?????. Lovely bar and surroundings but really need to get the service and systems sorted.

   We went on a Wednesday for a 2 course special offer. £12 each & a coin toss to see if its free. The starter portions were good, tasty wings. Mains were fine, decent burger for the offer price. Goujons were good but very plain looking on the plate, a dip & garnish would help. Service was ok, a bit chaotic looking at times as it was busy. We had to ask for the special menu, cutlery for our mains, people beside us asked a few times for their bill but nothing that would put us off. The food & surroundings were good so we will visit again.

   Beautiful food. Came here on the off chance after the Lansdown was on a reduced menu, salt and chilli chicken stunning. Would have preferred rice but garlic chips... Can't say no to that! Thanks a million folks

   Our food was fantastic fresh ingredients varied menu. Starters, mains and desserts really tasty and good portions . Staff were lovely Lucy in particular was very friendly and welcoming. My sister is a veggie and they helped her with her menu choice. Trad night was a wonderful addition. We felt very safe tucked into a corner beside the fire with nobody near us. We would recommend!

   I was looking forward to eating here as a few months ago we went for a drink and the price of beer was extortionate. We knew that they had reduced the price so I was there twice in one week. Once for lunch (dropped in) and one evening (booked). On both occasions my food wasn't as hot as it could have been but I was eating outside so that might be tricky. The food was superb. Waitresses lovely and friendly and helpful. We chose a bottle of wine £19.99 on the menu. When the bill came we were charged £23.99. How this was dealt with was very unsatisfactory resulting in the lovely young waitress placing £1x4 on the table saying the manager said to give us the £4. Unbelievable. No apology. This young waitress was left to deal with this when we twice asked to speak to someone in charge. The drinks menu looks like they reduced the price of beer and increased the cost of wine without updating the wine prices only. Strange. This was a birthday treat. Totally spoiled.
