Terrible Service! I tried to cancel an appointment and no one answered the phone! Phoned 3 times! Then they made me another appointment without my say-so and I phoned up again to change the appointment and no one answered! I phoned 3 times again! Now they de-registered me I missed the appointments!

Honestly diabolical and really upsetting. I attend 6 monthly check ups, I pay for NHS treatment, last May 2024 Javier noticed a chipped tooth at the back. I was advised ‘to leave it’. Within a few weeks it had broke further, I contacted the dentist and was advised he was on annual leave. Rang back again, ended up being sent to Bulwell. They apparently couldn’t do a filling as I wasn’t their customer so they put in some temporary stuff. By now a couple months had passed, after trying to call, I emailed too, to get an appointment. The next time I was seen was by 2 dental nurses as again Javier wasn’t in the business. They advised me they couldn’t do a filling not prescribe antibiotics. Not sure what the point in the appointment was, the girls were nice and sympathetic but it was a waste of time. Eventually, earlier this year, saw Javier who advised it’s gone beyond a filling (that he could have and should have done last May) and that unfortunately he wasn’t ’skilled enough’ to do route canal and I’d have to go private!!!!! But it also may not work. In between this I’ve been back and forth having to get antibiotics as it keeps flaring up. Again I’m having to PAY FOR ALL THESE APPOINTMENTS!!! And prescriptions!!! I even had to visit Bulwell AGAIN for antibiotics as Javier again was away and no one at Brightsmile could prescribe me with any. Anyway fast forward and this week I’ve had to had my tooth extracted, I’ve been on so many courses of antibiotics over the past couple of months, I even bought some from Spain cause it’s been that much of a pain trying to get some, The area is still infected, I rang today for more antibiotics, I’m also now pregnant which is distressing and worrying having an infection, but Javier of course is not in today and not available until Tuesday. I’m properly annoyed and disgusted with the service and the attitude of this, I’m GUTTED I’ve lost a WHOLE TOOTH when he could have mended the chip early 2024. I’ve spent a lot of money and wasted a lot of work time going back and forth to Carlton to bulwell to pharmacists, when I have some energy I will be contacting the ombudsman and lodging a formal complaint. The receptionists and the nurses have all been lovely and apologetic and have tried to help the best they can. As soon as I’m able to I will be moving dentists. Disgusting

Amazing service. Both Javier and Carolyn are fantastic at their jobs and are brilliant at putting patients at ease. Any nervousness goes straight out the door when you are with them. Totally recommend to anyone. Also, would just like to add to offset the negative reviews about the attitudes of any staff, that I have seen so many people in the waiting room being rude and impatient for absolutely no reason. The practice is so overworked and busy with a waiting list that is months long, so they are honestly just trying their best to accommodate everyone. Service workers are people too! I've never been treated rulely by any of the receptionists, so maybe patients should try fixing their bad attitude instead :)

I have been registered with this dentist for almost a year now and Iv had 3 visits, one was an emergency yesterday. Javier is my dentist and definitely one of the best dentists in this city, he has helped me over come my dentistry fear, he has been a true professional on every visit. The receptionists are also lovely and very helpful. Iv seen some bad reviews on the Asian lady, Iv always found her to be very helpful she really went out of her way to squeeze me in for an emergency appointment yesterday. 5* clinic in my opinion

Waited 8 months to register as an NHS patient here. Worth the wait. Wonderful staff. The Dentist was knowledge and also very friendly. Was happy to discover my teeth were in a pretty good state considering Id not been to a Dentist for 12+ years! A little clean and I was on my way. Already booked in for my 6 month check up. Highly recommended.

I've never had a good experience here. I've tried a few times and given benefit of the doubt but it's not professional, not friendly, and they do not listen. I would have changed a long time ago had there not been such a wait list for NHS. Avoid.

I used to dread going to the dentist as would often leave with bleeding and uncomfortable gums. However, the dentist that has taken over the practice is very gentle, explains everything well and in detail including recommending products and explaining how to use them correctly. Would highly recommend this dentist.

Worst experience ever. Dentist lady so so rude. She didn't know what she was doing. Didnt give me glasses even though product kept going in my eyes. Am pregnant she said to me out of rudeness that my baby will have bad teeth. She didn't listen to a word I said. Made me feel angry. Avoid! I leaved with more pain then I went in. Product was leaved on my face and in my mouth/hair/eyes when I leaved in distress . After she finshed, I stood up and She grabbed my arm when I tryed getting a piece of product of my tongue whitch was leaved there by her then she kept blaming me. Saying its cuz I have bad teeth thats there. I said no its cuz you didn't clean up properly. Avoid!. Tools was broken and she still said to the helper its ok il still use it. I will not be returning and that was my frist visit. Wow She needs more training!!!

I cancelled my appointment earlier this year due to having COVID just after Christmas and still being unwell a couple of days before my appointment. I had contacted them to let them know that i had COVID symptoms and was unwell to which they cancelled my appointment and I was told to reschedule when I was better. Fast forward to today, I tried to arrange another appointment at the dentist in which i was informed (by the dentist herself) that I am no longer registered with this dentist as i had a previous "no show". Moreover, when i recommended this dentist to a family member, i received feedback in regards to the dentist's "heavy handedness" and how sore their mouth was after just a simple checkup. I also had a crown fitted after having root canal treatment which broke off just 2 months after having it fitted to which I was told upon inspection that i would need to have a post fitted (something that isnt covered by NHS dental care) or remove the tooth. After coming out of that appointment, I have been left with a tooth grinded down with sharp edges until I can find a dentist that will fix the problems created by this dentist. I would only recommend this dentist to anyone if they have immediate dental issues as a means to get a quick fix to your problem. I would NOT recommend this dentist for anything other than that.
