I’ve used these guys for years. Not just for tyres, they’ve also serviced my van and helped me when I get random errors etc and they’ve always been really reasonable. Particularly today when I was late to my booking for new tyres and they’ve always still squeezed me in! 100% recommend
Really really good. Very impressed with their services. I randomly went in as I needed work doing and its close to where I work. Ive previously had work done on the car elsewhere at guiltbrook and they were useless. All the work they did at the other garage was corrected by DC who have carried out work that has resulted in the car driving like the day I bought it. Ive had thr car 7 years from new and it was becoming annoying the drive was sluggish and there were constantly lights popping up forever trying to sort it. Since being in dc it drives like new.....and not only that they didnt fit parts unnecessarily some of the things I thought were wrong they said were fine and they carried out the required work needed.
Reluctantly leaving a negative review, but this feels necessary. I’ve been using this garage for years and, up until recently, never had a bad experience. However, what happened a few months ago (and what I found out today) was disappointing enough that I felt the need to write this review. I brought my car in due to a very loud noise it was making. It took them three days just to look at it, with minimal communication or updates. Eventually, they diagnosed the issue as a faulty caliper and said it needed replacing. I agreed to the repair, which took another full day. On the fourth day, I stopped by the garage in the evening to check on the progress since I hadn’t heard anything. I was completely ignored when I walked in, and when I was finally acknowledged, I was met with a dismissive attitude and told, “I don’t know why you’re here — we didn’t call you,” with no greeting or basic courtesy. The following day (day five), I received a call saying the caliper had been replaced — but the noise was still there. It turned out the actual problem was the brake pads all along. So I paid to replace a caliper that didn’t need replacing and waited five days to get the correct issue diagnosed. Now, here’s why I’m writing this review today. I recently took my car to a different garage for an MOT, and it failed — due to an oil leak coming from the new caliper that this garage installed. That was the final straw. I had initially decided to just move on and never return, but hearing that the part they replaced is now faulty pushed me to share this experience. Not only did I lose five days of work (which cost me significantly), but I also paid £370 for a repair that was unnecessary and poorly done. Needless to say, I won’t be returning.
Amazing experience earlier today. I was worried about my car and they not only looked into the problem but explained it in detail too me. I usually don't enjoy taking my car to the garage but the gentleman who helped me was so friendly and knowledgeable and left me feeling really confident about his diagnosis of my car. When I arrived, there was no hello from receptionist.. not a friendly welcome. I was told I wasn't booked it, yet I had booked an appointment. I found the receptionist rude, not friendly or welcoming. For this reason I will no use garage again, it was my first time using it. The mechanic was friendly and got the job done quickly. Work was completed well.
Okay if you don’t care too much about your wheels. Came here due to good reviews and the ability to book online after ordering my tyres. Which all went well. Arrived and was told to wait in my car while it was 3 degrees outside until someone waved me over (so why book at 11.30 then…). First red flag, using the impact gun to buzz the wheels on. Wheels are dark grey and had dark wheel weights on. But these were replaced with chrome units that don’t match at all and the old residue was not removed properly. Worst part of it was the damage I was greeted with on one of the spokes on closer inspection. Shocking for somewhere with ‘tyres’ in their name, you would think they would take extra care and understand that if a customer has 4 immactulate wheels they want them back like that. Anyway, like I said. If you want a tyre changing relatively slap dash then these are your guys. If you value attention to detail and care, avoid at all costs!
Very helpful and friendly. I purchased an awful car which I didn't know at the time. The garage advised me the best course of action to return this. They looked at my car the same day as I called, wrote a list of the issues they'd found so far and didn't even charge me. I would recommend them any day!
I have used DC Tyres for the last 3 years. Customer support is the best and they will go out of there way to help you. I have purchased in the past, from different sellers, 2 sets of new alloy wheels and had them posted to the Tyre fitters. Once delivered they phone me and I arrange to go and get them fitted. Works out great as you can choose what tyres you want instead of the alloy wheel sellers minimul choice. The whole team are friendly and give you the time of day if you ask them anything. I struggle with my hearing but I get by now after telling them. Again very helpful. I would fully recommend DC TYRES, they are the best fitters about for a long way. Well done guys and thank you.
