This was kind of a pilgrimage for me having been an avid reader of Gerry Durrell as a child, so being at the place he created was wonderful, even the weather was good. The animals were obliging in their making appearances and my son and I have a memory to share for years to come. It was worth making the trip.I will endeavour to visit again.

The animals are amazing & the infographics for all of them are informative & eye-opening, there is so much to see. We had a great time just wandering around & taking in all the sights & smells of the zoo, every part of it was amazing & I can't wait to go back! If you book online there is a discount, so we'll worth booking in advance. The bus journey is lovely & doesn't take too long to get there, & the buses are quite frequent. Interesting zoo with a good variety of animals. Easy to park and walk around. Interesting story of how the zoo came about and Gerald's life. It was raining when we went so we didn't stay as long as we could have done.

Really nice Zoo, with a great conservation message. The reptile house and large apes are great to see. You can easily spend 5hrs here. Lots of parking and the cafe was surprisingly good. I would say they could do with improving their signage, just finding the entrance to the butterfly house was not obvious at all, but the displays across the zoo are all really good. They also had the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition on which was fantastic.

Had a fabulous breakfast at the café before entering the zoo. Helped that it was a lovely sunny day, if a little chilly. Everyone of the staff were very friendly & informative. Could have happily stayed all day

Jersey Zoo was established in 1959 by Gerald Durrell. We had a great afternoon there. While a lot of animals were nowhere to be seen there were plenty on view. We caught it on a sunny day and it was just lovely wondering around. There were plenty of places to stop and rest or have our sandwiches. You can buy teas, coffees and food there too if you wish. Some highlights: the butterfly sanctuary, the orangutan, the reptiles and the list goes on. There were four of us, including 2 seniors, and we all enjoyed it.

Well worth a visit, this is a well run Zoo and conservation program. Easy to reach via the local bus service, you also get a look round the island. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic place! Not too big, not too small. Very focussed on conservation and health of their animals. Food in the cafe is fantastic, tasty and lots of choice. Best day out we’ve had in Jersey.

Amazing place and their conservation initiatives are doing fab stuff. The zoo is well spaced out and the enclosures are really well proportioned. Definitely worth a trip.
