Had a lovely Sunday Roast and everything from start to finish was exceptional. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming particularly 'Captain Carvery' organising our delicious luncheon. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Highly recommend if you're looking for great food, excellent service, and a comfortable setting.

Not impressed with food, advertised jacket potato with salad and tortillas,no tortillas, been out of stock for at least 2 weeks, not advised on ordering,or when dish was brought to table. After 3 times of asking, supervisor sorted it with free drinks,I must say she was very pleasant. I wouldn't say food was anything special, had better when previous owners had it. I personally would not return, but people have to make their own decisions.

Whenever we are in Saltash, The Ploughboy is a must visit with the family. The fabulous prices of both the drinks and the food make it a very great family eatery. We feed and water a family of 6 for less than £100 on average. Only disappointment on our last visit was that they have revamped the menu and removed some of our favourite items (including their outstanding Peppercorn sauce). We will definitely revisit when next in Saltash!

This was a fantastic pub. Delicious food and was a good sized portion. Cheap prices for pints of cider (under £4 a pint) and great value on food. Lots of tables and room. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Ideal for large groups. Had a pool table, darts board and fruit machine. Highly recommend!!

Food was good (rump steaks) Service terrible, need to improve a lot- waitress acts like she won’t like to be there at all. Atmosphere was unpleasant & cold, mainly because of lack of any window’s decorations in such a high ceilings.

Not really worth one star. Food was terrible, chips must have been fried in old old oil. Atmosphere nil out of 10. Must be working hard to maintain such a poor standard.

Not my sort of pub but we went to a function and they catered for it very well. The food was really good. I had to clear the tables and hot stain area to make our guests more comfortable but it was Sunday caverybin main bar, so i suppose they were busy.

Went, with family, for the Sunday carvery, for the first time at the Ploughboy, Saltash. The meal was excellent! It was busy, but the pub was large and spacious so there was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy their meals in a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. First class experience, many thanks to all the staff!

The ploughboy is situated at the top of saltash in Cornwall close to A38. They have a good sized car park so that shouldn't be a problem. The outside of the pub looks quite nice. And at the back there's a fenced beer garden with frames for children to play in. Inside its quite nice with a lot of seating. There is a reasonable selection of drinks. Looks like an old style pub. They do food with a varied selection of pub grub. It's not an extensive menu so shouldn't boggle the mind in selecting. I had soup of the day which came out nice and hot and was very tasty. Then a chicken tikka with nan and popadom this was also hot and tasty. If I have a tiny gripe and is my thought only it could have done with a dip. The toilet area was quite clean not many places can boast that. All in all a good experience. Worth a visit.
