“We took our kids swimming and in half term holidays it was so good. I love that there’s a baby pool moving into a lanes swimming pool. Also, the lifeguards are on it - by that I mean they are very professional and taking good care of everybody in the pool. I was really impressed by that Team”
“Very clean and the staff are friendly and attentive”
“Lovely coffee shop in Saltash, friendly chatty owner, pleasant full of colours interior. Hot drinks and a cake saved us from harsh elements outside.”
“My third or fourth visit in as many months and still consistently good. Quiet ambience, pleasing decor and a beer list bordering on both trad and contemporary with a heavy bias towards local beers, kept in top condition and served at your table by enthusiastic staff. Saltash is once again a destination for a decent beer after perusing the charity shops and record shop across the road. A gem.”
“Really lovely place for coffee and cake or a bigger meal. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Great selection of books, jigsaws and gifts. Highly recommend the bacon and maple syrup pancakes!”
“Lovely local pub, quiet ,nice pint ,dog friendly”
“First time here and just stopped in on a whim. Service was swift and with a smile. Food was delicious will definitely be coming back when im in the area again! 10/10”
“We had an amazing night at The Ferry House on Saturday for our works Christmas night out .... atmosphere, food, service and staff were all brilliant and really made our night enjoyable. Proper little pub, warm welcoming , good food and you can hear yourself talk :)”
“A lovely friendly place to go for a quality coffee and fresh homemade food. To sit in the courtyard when sunny is a bonus as its away from the traffic and makes me feel as if I am on holiday. A good experience.”
“This is an incredibly authentic pub with bucket loads of character (decor, chef and bar staff). The food blows anything from your “usual local pub” out of the water. Had scallops, kind prawns and fish goujons with lovely crusty brown bread. The special beer on tap was a real treat. Atmosphere at 8pm on a Tuesday was quiet and cosy (candle light type vibe) but got lively at 9.30pm when the locals farmers arrived, who were all nice. If you are a city prince or princess this might not be for you…. but in my opinion this is a real hidden gem.”
“Used once every week for several months. Staff very friendly. Cakes baked are very more ish. They also do rolls with various fillings.”
“Beautiful courtyard and interior, coffee was amazing and menu looked great! Staff were also super friendly and chatty - thank you to the young gentleman that served us!”
“Visited 1st time and looks a fab place”
“We found this place randomly and it was a gem of a find. We were driving around looking for someone to grab a bite and saw the sign on the main road and thought let's have a gander. The front of the pub has lovely flowers in hanging baskets and was pretty. The service at the bar was fast and friendly. We ordered and had drinks in our hands within 5 minutes of walking in. We just ordered cheesy chips but they were top notch. No complaints from us here. The outside area was lovely to sit out in the sun.”
“I'm reviewing based on both the Aqua spa and the afternoon tea! The spa is great. Very reasonable priced, given more than enough time to enjoy the facilities. They don't overcrowd the spa so that you aren't able to enjoy it. Lots of different areas to experience and relax in. Access to the pool which is great. Changing rooms are lovely. Offer lockers, costume dryers & hair dryers. Showers also have soap. Overall - great. Afternoon tea (best I've had). Sandwiches were lovely, scones were the best I had ever tasted. Perfect combination of fluffy but with a little crunch. I'm sure the jam was home made? Perfectly sweet and I don't like jam so that says a lot! Carrot cake pot was gorgeous, little caramel tort was delicious and the white chocolate/lemon fancie was stunning!! Presentation was great, customer service was very good and the servers kept our water and tea topped up!! Only points would be, probably another sandwhich? A lot more sweet then savoury options! I wasn't to keen on the rocky road but that's a preference I believe!! I've been twice now to do both and will be back again.”
“Great boozer.. nice atmosphere, food looks great although only had drinks ourselves, dog friendly”
“Not sure I should be saying how wonderful this restaurant is as it will then become so popular that there will be no room for us!! Seriously, my good lady and I have just enjoyed a most superb Sunday Lunch where the quality of the food and the quantity of the serving were second to to none. Lovely venue, excellent service, extremely good value for money and lovely atmosphere. Thank you so much!”
“Have been to this little Quaint pub many times over the holiday stay, Kevin and his wife Tracey and his family are amazing hosts, polite kind and friendly. We had a range of meals and loved all of them, dog friendly and the pooches get their photo taken to go on the board. The view of the bridge and next to the stream is beautiful. We definitely will be back and I highly recommend.”
“We didn't stay here, but passed through for a pint and lunch and it's a wonderfully cosy pub with a friendly atmosphere and friendly service. The food we had was also delicious. Well worth a visit!”
“We went for a family meal at the Eliot last night and the food was brilliant! I went for the garlic mushrooms and chicken milanese, which was excellent. The portion sizes are very generous and the food was hot and served quickly. The atmosphere and decor in the pub is one thing we all talked about as it was a lovely place. The staff were attentive and welcoming too, thanks for a great evening!”
“After arriving at the crooked inn me and my partner was welcomed by a lovley young lady who showed us to our room after telling us where breakfast would be in the morning. And told us the restaurant was still open and as soon as we are ready to pop back and she would take our orders. Absolutely wonderful food. Will certainly go back again”
“Absolutle lovely breakfast here after 5hr drive had a lovely scrambled egg on toast and the old gentlement was very friendly”
“Had an amazing meal this afternoon - Sunday roast and shared a great bottle of Shiraz! Very lovely and attentive staff, would recommend this to everyone. Manager/owner seemed very pleasant and knowledgeable :)”
“Awesome pub on the waterfront and a lovely new paint job!”
“This has become my local now. Staff, people are so friendly. Have had many a good night dancing to the music. Beer garden when the weather is warm gets packed and everyone seems to enjoy themselves.”
“My husband had the fish and chips, excellent, batter was light and crispy not at all greasy, I had the gammon with egg chips and peas, all lovely no grease and very hot . Thanks to Kerry restaurant manager, and Jim the chef. We will be back soon,”
“Nice place and near to the navy base. Watch f1 quali and met some local people. Had an enjoyable afternoon and evening”
“Best pub in all the land. Highly recommend”
“Myself and my mum have visited a couple of times. It's a very sweet little place hidden off Saltash high street. Very pleasent atmosphere with seating inside and out. The owners and staff are very pleasent and they have table service. The menu is very good and has a selection from breakfasts to light lunches. We also enjoyed their cakes which are made by the staff. (I enjoyed keylime pie and mum enjoyed the lemon meringue pie.) Very reasonably priced and the food is delicious. Definitely recommend if you like somewhere you want a good cuppa lovely food and a chat.”
“Lovely food And very friendly staff definitely be going again soon”
