Great hairdressers, always walk away feeling amazing. Sinead is lovely and very experienced, can't fault anything. Everyone at Steele are very friendly and great cups of tea and biscuits.
I normally see the amazing Sinead who cares about her clients and looks after myself and my hair.( for many years) On this occasion i could not get to see Sinead, instead i was recommended Michelle… well it turned from bad to worse.!!!!! She left me waiting 40 mins when I approached, no apology ( her client was done and dusted) I approached the deck… her reply “ time flys !. It continued to go down hill, Michelle made a comment about not being able to find my card (she never approached Sinead for any advice or possible colour options) She made an off comment about my hair being long and proceeded to pull it like string. I asked about my sideburns being a little grey & asked if they could be sorted. Michelle said NO I would need a patch test !!! This made no sense… i was sat gowned up foils ready colours ready to go… Michelle crossed her arms, told me she was too old for this (52) and didn’t need this & refused to do my hair. I was totally shocked.!!! In: hindsight the RED flags were there. I just hope no one else is ever treated with such contempt as I received on that awful day. Michelle does not deserve to work alongside side great stylist at Steel house lane. .Michelle asked me twice after refusing to do my hair “ are you ok” NO I wasn’t ok i felt the salon broken.
This was my first time here at Steele hairdressers. They accepted me as a late walk in to have my hair washed, cut, blow dried and straighten..... Only, my hairdresser asked if she could style my hair differently after it was cut and dried. You have no idea how long I've waited for a hairdresser to say that. Usually they ask what you want and generally that's what you get. So i jumped at the chance for her to style it differently. My hairdresser stepped up, and she didn't disappoint. I don't understand why hairdresses are scared of doing something different for the client as long as the client approves. Lola was her name and she was fantastic. Very confident in her abilities, gave advice on hair products and was very chatty. She didn't have conversations with co-workers while she was doing my hair unlike some hairdressers at other salons. Although I don't want to reveal her name cos next time I go, there might be a que for her. But credit where it's due. Lola was fantastic. Reading other reviews on Google i didnt have much interaction with all the other hairdressers in there today but it sounds like they are just as nice. Thank you so much.
I have been going to Steele’s for years and Jane is my hairdresser. She is amazing as I have very unruly curly/ wavy hair and she always manages to make it look good. Go every 6 weeks for a cut and colour and would never go anywhere else. Reasonable prices and the atmosphere is fantastic. Everybody is so friendly and welcoming.

Very good unisex hair dressing salon, close to the Victoria Centre. Warm, friendly staff, with a mixture of talents. Emma Woods has been doing mine since my previous hairdresser retired. She is friendly, thorough and a great stylist. Well worth going here. Sensible prices too.
Claire has cut my hair excellently for more than 25 years. She keeps up to date and ensures her colleagues do too. She runs a very good, and friendly, business.
