   They did my nails really well however they were so unbelievably rude. I asked to see the colours to choose from, she rolled her eyes and sighed, before trying to argue that I didn’t need to see any other colours. The two staff were so unfriendly and clearly didn’t want to be doing anything at all. Me and my Mum will both be not returning and it was a massively uncomfortable appointment with such rude, unpleasant attitudes.

   i’ve been going to this place for about a year now and honestly the staff have been so kind and i’ve never been unhappy with a set of nails before. However i got my nails done only a few days ago and i think they’ve hired a new man who looks pretty young. He was very rude, kept rolling his eyes at me, pulling my fingers and bending my arms in ways he definitely didn’t need to in order to do my nails. I got chrome tips and wasn’t informed it would be £10 more until after i had them done so i had no choice but to pay. The boy got the acrylic powder on my skin around my nails and was trying to scratch it off with a nail file so now the skin around my nails is extremely damaged. A couple of the nails weren’t even stuck on properly and were already coming off whilst i was still in the shop even with the layer of acrylic on them. They’re damaged, my nails and skin are damaged and honestly it’s put me off ever going to a nail shop again. I will attach a photo of how my nails looked 10 minutes after i left there. My nails and fingers are in alot of pain i’m now going to have to soak them off and have wasted £40. As i said before, every other time i’ve been it’s been absolutely amazing, a quick hour to get my nails done and they’d be perfect, this was 2 and a half hours of pain.

   I’ve been using Urban Retreat for manicures and pedicures because I live in Ruddington so it was convenient to walk to. Also, I have kids so preferred somewhere local. I’ve always had my nails done by the two girls in there. The gels nails are OK, a bit sloppy but I have never complained because they make my nails look better that what I could achieve at home! However, what is my bug bear about this salon is lack of time management. I have been there 3 times with a pre booked appointment and the salon has always over booked and I’ve been bumped / left waiting. Today I booked for a 1.30pm appointment, was told that was fine. The salon was busy, and after waiting for 25mins I left. Really inconvenient. It’s fine if I was told to expect a wait but I was told that I could get my treatment on time. It’s such a shame because now I’ll just go a bit further afield; West Bridgford like I used to where I know they are more reliable, professional and do a better treatment. If you are a regular customer I’m sure you’re well looked after. Single, professional mum needing a bit of self care in a timely manner? Don’t waste your time here! Such a shame, this business is letting Ruddington and its customers down.

   Booked as a treat explaining that wife would be finishing work for a 4:30 appointment and can’t usually do nails due to her work. Booked and on arrival 3 people waiting. Told staff told to go and wIt. Waited 5 mins and obviously not getting sorted any time soon. Would highly recommend other places as service was awful and as a treat totally ruined by unprofessional staff. Owner claims told to wait and wife said she would go for walk. This was untrue.
