Dr Ahmed Youssef is the best dentist I have had in my 48yrs. Takes great pride in his work and provides a great service, the prices are good too.
The dentist was running approximately 40 minutes late. During this time, I observed another patient being charged £40 for arriving just over 10 minutes late due to her bus being delayed, despite the fact that she had contacted the practice in advance to inform them she would be late. The receptionist appeared unsympathetic and did not acknowledge the patient’s visible distress, even after she explained that she could not afford the charge for circumstances beyond her control. When my 8-month-old was eventually seen, it became apparent that my appointment had been incorrectly recorded, having previously been rearranged due to staff sickness. No apology was offered for this error or for the extended waiting time. This experience highlighted an evident lack of consistency and professionalism.
My family and I have been attending Meavy Way Dental Practice for nearly 25 years and cannot recommend the team highly enough. We have always felt safe and secure with the care and treatment. Huge shout out to Joanna who has been our dentist and seen our children become adults! Thank you!
Pari, the practice manager, is always happy to help and goes out of her way to accommodate joint appointments with the dentist and hygienist whenever possible. Joanne has been my dentist for approximately 15-20 years and her attention to detail and thoroughness are exceptional. I've always been impressed with the team and the standard of care. Thank you guys.
Excellent service from all staff especially the dental nurse Ellie and Erin on the reception. Very good prices and staff friendly and always happy to help. 5/5 , would recommend!
Sorry l say l loved this dentist but now sadly gone VERY downhill all they care about is filling the pockets with money. I've been at meavy way for over 5 years. During the pandemic we expected not to been seen. My 10yr was last seen in 2019, each time l make her appointment since they re opened its been cancelled by them. This latest appointment that's been cancelled l booked in November 2022 for February 2023, its now been cancelled again by them again as they are not seeing check ups only emergencies, yet this appointment was a rebook from the last appointment they cancelled. Yet if my daughter was a private patient she would seen would seen just like that they are neglecting children who are nhs patients its disgraceful
Rang at 6pm last night. Broken tooth fixed by 8.20am today. Very friendly receptionist and lovely dentist. Mrs Smith was very helpful and couldn’t have done more to help. I’ve been going to this practice for many years and haven’t had any issues. They have always been very kind and accommodating. Yes I have had an occasional appointment cancelled as the dentist was poorly (people get sick!) Dental practices are under huge pressure at the moment and receive a lot of negativity, especially for nhs care. This is a government issue that needs to be resolved somehow. With an over populated country and lack of trained dentists, the whole dental service is obviously under immense pressure. This must be incredibly hard for the staff who cannot provide the care they would like to through no fault of their own and get abuse daily for it. I don’t often leave reviews for anything, but feel it is important, in these hard times, to be positive where it is due. Well done Meavy Way.
I have been attending Meavy Way Dental Clinic for many years and I have always found the treatment to be excellently performed and when I have had teeth problems the staff have been always sympathetic to my needs. In particular I have been offered choice so I have never felt pushed into making decisions that I'm not sure about. Kind, courteous and very good at what they do. I would recommend this clinic highly.
I am really disappointed in this practice! I’m a migraine sufferer and had to cancel my appointment on the day of the appointment because strangely migraines do not give you 24 hour notice! They insisted on charging me for the appointment and so I’ve left the practice! No matter what I said, there was no listening, compromise or understanding! I was really appalled at the awful customer service! It is literally all about money! Pay on average a £100 a filling plus check up & x-ray fees. I had to get a credit card to afford this & then show no compassion when a customer is ill. A sad reflection of dental care in this country currently!!
