Honestly the worst branch of any supermarket I've ever been to. I have the baby pampers app, with my kids needing nappies, I went here to buy some. I had enough points (4000)to get £9 off one jumbo pack of pampers (I bought 4 packs) i have 20 minutes to use the code once activated. I wasn't able to go to the tills with a human, a "superstore" with only one till open, with time running out to get my kids from childcare, I went to the trolley checkout and had my code ready and activated. I showed it to the worker (as many other reviews have said about workers leaning and acting like they're being disturbed, she was doing the same) she came over and said she hasn't seen a pampers code before so cant accept it. Even though Pampers clearly showed its a coupon for Tesco. I made her aware I have been using codes here before and never had an issue, she then asked someone else who says she wasn't sure and then she went to a third person who i assumed was a manager. He came over to me and looked at the code and proceeded to say I and the code are red flags and for all he knows I could've just created the coupon (of all things I could do with my time in the world, I would spend it making fake pampers coupons?) I showed him the app and the process of me getting the coupon and he proceeded to call me dodgy and he's not accepting it because its giving red flag. I was so humiliated. Other shoppers were looking at me while being called dodgy several times. £50 worth of pampers alone in my shopping and he thinks I would fake a £9 coupon. The time I went prior to that, there was a sanitary pad with blood stuck on the trolley. Its a disgusting place and will no longer be a customer at tesco. Their competitors are much better anyway

The Duty manager Remi is absolutely incompetent and extremely rude. I have been in twice to make a complaint about their client Horizon Parking for issuing fines unfairly and each time they refuse to understand, instead treating me like I commited the contraventions each time. I have shopped at the Tescos Superstore 2 Carlton Hill, Carlton Nottingham NG4 1EB for over 12 years. It's only been up until recently I have been getting these fines but the way Duty manager Remi has spoken to me each time I have visited the store to complaint has now left me with no choice but to waste my precious time and make a formal complaint against him and the store for the inappropriate customer service.

Very good range of food, competitive prices and delicious food. Maybe make sure that you staff notice anything that's wrong. Other than that it's good

I visited the store on the 12th of August to buy a meal deal to take to hospital while visiting my husband. There was only one packet of Walkers Salt and Vinegar crisps left, so I picked this up, despite it looking old, but he had specifically requested this flavour. When I got home and about to go the hospital, l looked at the crisps which stated they were best before the 10-05-2025. I returned to the shop on my way out. The lady on the Customer Service desk suggested that the crisps had expired in October, that the date was written the wrong way round but said she would look at another packet and found that they had expired as l had said 3 months previously. I told her l found this unacceptable and would like Tesco's to write to me and address the matter. She said that this was not possible as it was a store issue and I would need to speak to the manager. He arrived dressed in a polo shirt, not a suit as l had imagined he would. I asked him what he was going to do about it. He said he was happy to change the crisps for a new packet and that they regularly checked the dates on the food on the shelves. I suggested he refund me for the meal deal, a cost of £5.00, he said he couldn't do this, l was unsure why, but said that he could offer me a bunch of flowers. I declined this offer and left the store. I feel Tesco need to look at Customer satisfaction and renew their policies, a bunch of flowers is not what l needed.

Young girl on self service more interested in checking her phone than assisting customers. More red lights than Amsterdam and she’s stood there like a statue. Also, once saw a bottle of lemonade under a shelf once, well “once” is putting it lightly as it was still there after two months. Doesn’t anyone clean this store?

3 members of staff on tills during the weekend with a long queue of people who are blocking walk ways and aisles. Forcing people to use self serve tills / scan whilst shopping. Staff extremely rude and unhelpful. When I complained a member of staff agreed there was not enough tills open and I should shop elsewhere or do it online!!

zero points from me! I dont work or get paid by Tesco, so why exactly when someone scans their own goods, do they have a member of staff standing around checking everyones receipts as they leave the self scan! This is absolutely ludicrous and nonsensical and totally counter-productive. Never mind a waste of wages, when this member of staff could be manning a till and earning their salary! They seems to do a lot of standing around and gossiping until someone wants them because the stupid systems malfunction frequently! My worse complaint, is that Tesco at Carlton square have decided to install a robbing parking company called Horizon Parking, who are renowned for lying about customers parking to claw in monies!! Tesco have to sanction these people to man their sites and they get a handsome cut! Why do this to their valued customers!? Obviously, they are that greedy that they are trying to gain more revenue from other sources as well as customers loyalty to them. I for one have sacked Tesco. Ill never shop there again. Greedy plebs!!

One till on and a que of over 20 people. After complaining - a so called manager said they can get someone to serve me on the self serve.....erm, why cant you get that person to man a till, I don't work at the store so will not use self serve. Left my basket and went to Morrisons....Night and day difference with customer service. Would not recommend Tesco to anyone!!

Re: new self service tills. Went into Tesco Carlton this morning. The lady behind me at the checkout clearly had special needs. She was talking animatedly to the checkout lady about how she was going to see her friend that day and that she hadn't seen her for ages. 'I've really missed her!' she said. As I left I said to the checkout: "That right there is the reason why we need more manned tills and not self service!" She agreed! For some people the lady/man at the checkout might be the only human contact people see all week! Sort it out Tesco....every little helps!!
