Good Morning ★★☆☆☆
Well that was an experience I don't want to repeat. For the money the food is absolutely brilliant but the service made me want to leave it and walk away. No tray, carrier bag in one hand so I needed to somehow get a hot dog tray, chip box, drink cup and ice cream pot in the other. So thankful my parents were octopuses. No chairs! I'm in IKEA and there are no chairs. Drink was just fizzy foam, what a mess that made. And the ice cream machine needs a token, had to go back and get one. And the girl serving.... Welcome to the new gen z idea of customer service; the dinner ladies from primary school in the 70's treated me better, at least they gave me a tray. Lesson learnt, won't happen again. 2 stars because the food was ok.

Meat ball and vegetable ball are great. Shrimp salad, fish and chips, curry with rice, cheese cake...are delicious.

It's alright while shopping. Wouldn't make a special trip just for the food. Menu choices definitely have improved over the years but is not as cheap as it used to be considering the size of the portions.

Price wise it's excellent, a hotdog, chips and drink for less than £3 is superb value for money. Staff are friendly and despite the sizable que we were served pretty quickly. Now the bad stuff...it's dirty... tables covered in food, cutlery, and crockery, food on the floor, bins overflowing and no one around to clean up. Food was a mix, the hotdog was excellent; however, the chips were almost cold and overcooked. It's cheap, but I'd rather go to one of the cafés in the retail park.

I did not expect much but still somehow been disappointed when I tried fish and chips... uncooked peas came without self-cooking instructions, unfortunately.

For a while now the foodhall at IKEA Giltbrook hasn't been up to scratch. Food has been tepid and serving staff were disorganised and unhelpful. Items on the menu were also unavailable. There were lots of "bare spots" on the shelves. We had vowed never to return however we did recently and things had improved a little, however it's very hit & miss and there were items behind the counter that weren't on the menu and the staff need a bit of a "kick up the backside" so to speak. Doesn't seem to be much communication between serving & kitchen staff, or what little there is needs to be improved.

Lovely meatball, peas and chips. Would have been 5star if meatball and peas were not just luke warm. Latte only 50p with an IKEA card. Bargain.

Lots of room to sit. Tables are cleaned regularly. Food is always hot. Queues can be long but they move quickly. Free tea and coffee with the IKEA card is great. There's a little play area for toddlers so they can play while you eat.
