Just had my first haircut in about 3 years with Ellie and cannot fault any of it, felt so comfortable throughout! Professional but friendly it felt like I was catching up with a friend. Would recommend to anyone!
My wife and I got married at Knightor Winery in July and were so lucky to have Mia and Shannon as our make up artists. When we were looking for male up artists, it was really important to us to find people who would make us feel comfortable, confident and ourselves on the day – and they did exactly that and more. We already knew them through friends and had seen how flawless their make up always looks, so choosing them was an easy decision. Still, they completely exceeded our expectations. From the moment they arrived on the wedding morning, they brought such a calm and friendly energy. They were on time, organised and such a joy to be around – it honestly felt like having two more friends with us while we got ready. They were so kind with everyone, and really listened to what each of us wanted. Mia did mine and my wife's make up and what we loved most was how she created two different looks that suited each of us individually, while still feeling like they worked beautifully together. Our make up looked absolutely incredible and lasted perfectly from start to finish – through happy tears, hugs, food, drinks and dancing! We both felt like a million dollars and so confident walking down the aisle. In the run up to the day, Mia also did a lash lift and brow wax/tint for me, which was amazing – my lashes are only just starting to drop nearly two months later! We honestly can’t thank Mia and Shannon enough for being part of our special day. Not only are they both incredibly talented, but they are also genuinely lovely people who made us feel so looked after. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone – if you’re thinking about booking them, do it!
I haven’t been to a salon in years as I luckily have a friend with hairdressing experience who trims it for me when needed, but as a little pre birthday treat I decided to visit Amore Hair. Lauren was my hair stylist and from the minute I got there I felt welcomed and comfortable. I had one of the best iced pistachio lattes ever and felt as though I was really listened to regarding what I wanted. I’m always a bit nervous about visiting new salons as I have found in the past when asking for layering or definition, there always a dramatic and flicky cut and I tend to lose a lot of length, but Lauren reassured me that less is more and we could always come back if I wanted more off (which I did in the end) and still managed to keep it at a length I was really happy with! She was very patient, understanding and friendly which is always calming especially if you are feeling a little nervous about changing your style. I cannot recommend her highly enough and know exactly where to go for all future cuts and styles. I love my hair and I am so grateful to her for making my first trip back to a salon such a lovely experience. Thank you Lauren!!
A waste of £180, a manager that doesn’t care what happens after the money has been paid, hair nowhere near what you ask for and an overall overpriced service. I have included pictures of what I asked for, what I received from Amore Hair, and the remediation done by another hairdresser which I had to pay an additional £145 at another salon (one that had no issue achieving what I wanted). There was no communication at the start from the hairdresser that she would not be able to achieve what I wanted, despite seeing my reference pictures and clearly discussing it. I went into this appointment with a confirmed £165 appointment charge over text with the girl who arranged my booking. My long hair was obviously seen and felt during the consultation at the start of the appointment, however, the salon waited until half way through my appointment to add an additional £15 up-charge for my hair length without mentioning it at the start. This was extremely unprofessional and underhanded as you feel pressured to pay as the process is already underway. As seen in the pictures I asked for a bold balayage copper look but received a dull bit of blonde at the ends of my hair instead. I messaged the hairdresser within 24 hours stating that I really wasn’t happy (having already mentioned in the chair that it wasn’t as red as I wanted but leaving to see it in the light of day out of good faith). Despite my prompt message, the lack of accurate hair colour was blamed on me ‘changing my mind’ half way through the appointment. This is false. I asked for copper the entire time, merely agreed to go with a lighter copper that was also showed in my reference pictures as my hair came up lighter with the bleach. As you can see, my hair is not red at all - something i reiterated that I wanted the entire time. Ultimately, after a lot of back and forth with the hairdresser Lauren and the manager Claudia, I was offered a free blow dry and toner. The offer of a toner would not have changed my hair at all; something that another salon informed me whilst this was going on (the same salon that redid my hair for me) as the blonde was too dull and a full colour was needed instead. The other salon I went to actually thought I had an old balayage as there was so little definition and the blonde wasn’t bright- not something done less than a week beforehand. I informed the manager of this and I did not receive a response after a week, so I followed up again, being ignored when I asked for money back. Unprofessional, poor communication, and money hungry seems to be a theme with this salon. Amore hair are extremely expensive. The atmosphere seems friendly until you point out that you did not get what you asked for and the situation is manipulated to make you out to be in the wrong when you aren’t. Save your money and go to another salon that will do much better for much cheaper and ensure you actually get what you asked for. £180 that was saved up as a treat and ultimately completely wasted. Do NOT go here. EDIT: In response to the comment below, I was offered a toner and blow dry as I mentioned beforehand; nothing more. I also still haven’t received a reply to our original email conversation WEEKS LATER, that tells you everything you need to know.
First time using this salon and I absolutely loved it. Stacie has been my stylist since I moved to the area & I have never left disappointed. Love the salon and love my new hair!

First time going here, the salon itself is gorgeous. However I got passed on to a different stylist due to the person i booked in with being ill. I was told this when i arrived to my appointment not prior. The stylist i chose was the cheapest (couldnt really afford to get my haircut but it was needed) maybe I’m just naive but they should have told me that being passed to a different stylist would mean I’d be paying more, alot more. No one explained this to me, very disappointed in how this was handled. If i had known i would have rebooked with the stylist i wanted.
100% recommend this salon. I’ve been to so many places over the years and this is the only one I have repeatedly gone back to. The amazing team have helped my hair go from box dye brown to a bright ashy blonde and have somehow made my hair healthier than it’s ever been. Such a lovely, inviting atmosphere right on the harbour. Could not recommend enough.
Extremely happy with my new hair style. Cherry was very professional and a perfectionist. She was very welcoming and friendly. The salon is beautiful and very stylish. I will definitely be going back for my next hair styling session. Would recommend to anyone and everyone. Thank you for making me feel beautiful and so much younger.
I visited this salon in December and I was taken back by how lovely it is, the salon itself is gorgeous and the girls are all very friendly with welcoming smiles. I have been having my hair done by Toni for years and I couldn’t go to anyone else. I travel 2 hours each way just to get my hair done by Toni. Over the years she has transformed my hair and giving me confidence. Every visit she amazes me with the results.
