1. Two of a kind Travel inspo ★★★★★

   I think I have been now four times for wine tasting sessions. At £15 each for 6 samples, they are extremely good value. The atmosphere is very relaxed and James allows you to take your time. I usually spend 3/4 hours at Taste First as I feel so relaxed. I often make new friends in there too as I feel fellow customers have similar interests :D. The wines are always lovely. James is extremely knowledgeable on his wines. Highly recommend.

   Had a wine tasting and it was absolutely phenomenal! Never thought I would rate a white wine so highly especially above a red! The atmosphere was fantastic James was amazing with explaining and giving us more details! The food boards were fantastic and complemented the wine brilliantly! I would 100% recommend here I can’t put into words the experience I have had! I feel like I’m leaving a different person!

   What a fantastic place Taste First is to visit. I was gifted a wine tasting voucher for my birthday and eventually got round to booking it whereby James was really helpful to accommodate us at last minutes notice! The wine tasting was excellent with James challenging us by introducing wines we previously thought we wouldn’t like and completely changing our opinions on them! Alongside this we were given a selection of favourites but that being said all the wines we tasted on the evening were excellent. James was an outstanding host with a vast swathe of knowledge about different types of wine and he made the experience extra special. We enjoyed it that much that during the tasting we paid extra to increase the wines from 6 to 10 (highly recommend this) and we then stayed for a couple glasses more and left with 6 bottles of our favourite from the evening! Well done James and thank you - Jake and Meg.

   I was gifted a wine tasting experience for two at Taste First. My husband and I attended and we have both come away saying how brilliant it was! James was particularly accommodating and even though we are wine novices he made us feel very welcome. James has a chat with you before hand, to get an understanding of the type of wines you like, he then adapts the tasting to suit! He makes a real effort not to just give you your ‘go to’ wine, but gives you options that are similar but something you wouldn’t usually try. The place has a lovely atmosphere and whether it was new or regular customers coming in, James was a great host to all! The deli board from Cleo’s was delicious too! Another nice touch is the candles that they sell (they smell so good!) using the empty wine bottles. Thank you for a lovely time, we will certainly be back

   We visited Taste First today for the first time, it was a great experience. We tasted wines we would not normally try and we were very well looked after by James’ Dad. After the tasting we stayed and had a lovely couple of glasses of rosé. We highly recommend the friendly atmosphere and we will definitely be back.

   We visited Taste First last night after a last min change of plan and was not disappointed. As soon as we walked in to a very warm welcome from James, we knew we were going to enjoy our evening. James has such a wealth of knowledge and was friendly and his passion for wine was clear to see. We opted for a cheese board to accompany the wines and everything was amazing. James even managed to change my mind about a wine I usually dislike through educating me on the grape, climate and region as opposed to just having a general dislike for a particular wine. We had a great evening and treated ourselves to some of our favourites from the tasting. We will definitely be back and highly recommend.

   Great Burns' Night Whisky tasting at Taste First, 6 varied single malts, including one worth over £175 / bottle - wish I was in a position to buy a case of it!! Ably led by the knowledgeable and charming Pete - Good name for a whisky expert!! Will definitely visit again. Great decor too.
