I recently stayed at this hotel and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome with their warm greetings and attentive service. Check-in was quick and effortless, and I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and comfort of my room. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the small touches—like the soft lighting, quality toiletries, and immaculate housekeeping—that made the space feel extra inviting. The hotel’s amenities were equally impressive. The breakfast offered a great variety of fresh and delicious options, and the common areas were stylish and well-maintained. I also loved how peaceful the atmosphere was, making it perfect for unwinding after a long day. It's only few minutes walk to town centre, shops, restaurants etc. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. Excellent service, comfortable rooms, and a welcoming environment—what more could you ask for? I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant and memorable stay.

What a lovely hotel. Staff are friendly and more than accommodating. Food was excellent, my room was clean to a high standard, bed was lovey and comfortable, I had an undisturbed night sleep. Would definitely recommend, it’s situated perfectly in the middle of the town so it’s a short walk to the centre and plenty of places. Will be staying again.

Stayed overnight on 5/7/25. At least our 6th time we have stayed at The Deincourt so become our go to Newark hotel when we visit family locally. We have stayed in the main building and the 2nd building across from the entrance. Full marks to January and her team, very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Great no frills rooms with all you need at a reasonable rate. Food is great and gets better and better, do recommend you try eating in. Top breakfast and superb pint of Guinness and local real ale at the well stocked bar, nice touch they insist on bringing your drinks to your table! Ignore any negatives, fantastic for the price, updating old buildings like that takes time. Will be back again.

Its a three star hotel, so expect that. There aren't many staff. Those who you can find and very helpful. The room was big and clean, but the decoration was a bit tired. Comfortable bed and quiet, we didn't get disturbed at all, which is usual for a hotel. I can't comment on the location beyond it worked for us as it is very close to a friend we were visiting. Nice breakfast (we do full English).

Our room was good and in a separate building, but the public rooms have kind of had it. Nice breakfast and friendly staff make this place. It's well frequented, but mainly by staff from companies who are on a budget. My wife and I would happily stay again for the bed amd the breakfast. But do not expect an elegant atmosphere.

Easily one of the worst hotels I’ve ever had to stay in. Room smelled like stale cigarettes (currently washing all my clothes to get the smell off); you could feel every spring in the old, soft mattress and it made a noise with every slight movement; the single glazing did nothing to keep the road noise out, and the window rattled/banged with the breeze. The bathroom was tiny and dirty. The shower (less than 1m x 1m) had cracked, mouldy seals. The shower head and taps were furry with scale. There are no facilities to iron clothes in your room so you have to bring them down to the laundry room and iron them. One star because the staff were pleasant enough, otherwise I’d give zero.

Lovely room, spacious and I liked the separation of the beds for privacy. Excellent customer service, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Would definitely recommend. Food was excellent too. Thankyou to all the staff.
