Wonderful. Good coffee, lovely wine, a delicious cheeseboard, and very friendly staff. Anna was especially helpful and knowledgeable in helping me select some nice wines for a birthday present (including letting me have a taste). Wish we were here for longer so we could visit more often. Oh - and very dog friendly too.
Wonderful place! I cycled past on a cold, wet day and was drawn into their attractive shop. A draft beer later I was warmer and ready to set off again. What really sets this place apart, though, is the owners Anne and Simon and the wonderful atmosphere they have created with this shop. I'll be back soon.
Exceptional place. Above and beyond. Simon and Anna are Wonderful people. Excellent organic wines. 10 of us had a private dinner here and it was perfect. They Catered for all needs and used so much local produce. We are So pleased to have this close to us.
I have been to The Bottle Shop a number of times. It is now my number 1 place to go to get my wine. On occasion a special bottle for a special meal. More regularly I have the odd snifter, some cheese and charcuterie. Almost always I refill my wine bottles here from their selection of wine from the wall. A wonderful taste of France in Devon. Anne and Simon have brought Moretonhampstead an amazing gem.

I was recommended this cafe by my in laws and I wasn't disappointed. I went for brunch, they had a nice range of options and were very accommodating to vegans. Prices were average and the cafe is beautifully maintained and very welcoming. It's small but didn't feel over crowded. The chap who served us was friendly and helpful. We had spicy mexican bean soup - it was really good, filling, hearty and had a nice range of beans and veg, the bread that was served was light and fluffy- very yummy. The coffee was well made and of good quality. We felt quite relaxed and leisurely here. Dogs are welcome. They were able to provide a clean highchair for my daughter too. Overall we were very impressed.
Such a lovely cafe! Very accomodating to us wanting dairy free/vegan options- would highly recommend their hash browns. Coffee and food was brilliant! Very friendly staff (and 2 gorgeous dogs!). They also seemed to have some nice beer options although we didn't get a chance to try any!
A lovely little village cafe serving home cooked meals and freshly brewed coffee. Run by a lovely couple who will make you welcome from the start. A definate visit when passing by!
