Spent a day up on the PCCU. Part of my work involves kids and supporting them. I don't work for PCCU. I supported a kid who I was here. I must say the ward was spotlessly clean with staff constantly cleaning. The whole ward vibe was gentle, caring and loving. Nice colours and feel about the ward and no funny smells ect. Perfect for kids and parents alike. Staff was super caring to the child I was with. Supported me and the family through everything. Very gentle with news and what the next steps were. I cant fault them what so ever. Though my time was sad there I shall forever remeber how amazing the staff was and should I ever have to return I know my children or children I support are in good hands as am I.

Liver resection on a Dec 8th 2025. Amazing nurses and staff. So well cared for and looked after. A first class operating team who made sure I knew they were there for me. This was all about me and making me better. I spent my birthday in the high dependency unit. The staff made and all signed me cards. I couldnβt have asked for better care. Thank you to everyone involved.

On Tuesday 16 December I had cause to go to A&E at the QMC. I fell down the stairs at home and cracked my head open on a tiled floor in thr hallway. We arrived at 11am and on arrival the reception staff were so professional and friendly. I then was accessed by a lovely lady called Kate. So kind and attentive. I then met the most wonderful person I have ever met in my life KAREN. she checked me over and calmed me down so kind loving and genuine. She has worked for the trust for 46 years and is so professional. Committed and a beautiful big hearted lady. She attended to me right through the day until we left A&E 9 hours later. I had to have a CT scan and the young gentleman who attended to me was so caring. The consultant that checked over the scan was such a wonderful man and was concerned because they found a bruise on my brain so recommended that a nuro

Neurosurgical department treated me quickly and efficiently following a subarachnoid hemorrhage. Despite this happening during the junior doctors strike action (which I support) I was treated in a timely fashion and treated very well by the wonderful nursing and ancillary staff. The follow up from the Neuroradiology nursing staff has also been excellent. After discharge I was not able to see my new local GP who kept stating there was no need, so the nurses have been my primary source of information regarding follow up and future concerns. If all aspects of the NHS were (funded and) able to perform to this high standard it would be excellent!

Wonderful staff at Gateway G at the Medical Centre for my surgery with Doctor Haoula. I wish I'd got the wonderful nurses name who kept me in tea and biscuits while I was in the recovery bay! Area is clean and very efficient. Wifi is fast and stable, and there is also full phone signal to keep loved ones updated. Chairs recline fully and cosy blankets are provided on request. You also get a lovely pair of grippy socks to team with those very attractive surgical stockings! All the staff were kind, compassionate, and reassuring. This meant so much to me as I was very nervous about my operation!

My husband was admitted into A&E Dec 17th due to breathing difficulties. From the moment we arrived until he was discharged we cannot thank all staff, whatever their role, enough. The care was exemplary they all went beyond & above. We are both so very grateful, thank you. Chris & Roger Dale

I'm not sure why I was thinking about this last night but it just goes to show how poor bedside manner can actually stay with someone a lot longer then the positive experiences. I actually got out of hospital on Christmas Eve 2005 (shows how long ago it was) after a 2 month stay in Nottingham Queens. I'd managed to catch a very rare disease and my family was told to say their goodbyes. While I'm aware there were a lot of fantastic nurses and doctors that helped with my recovery (so I'm sure that my one star review is in no way an accurate representation) there is one memory that has stuck with me all this time, 17 years later! I recall on one particular occasion that my sister and mother had came to visit, I had a tracheostomy tube in so was unable to verbally communicate and I was pretty tiered with all of the treatment I was receiving and therefore spent most of the visit asleep. A doctor (I don't recall his name) then decided it was at this time that I must complete some tests to test my cognition. He woke me up to complete these tests, to be honest I just wanted to sleep and wanted no part in these tests at that particular time. I then remember, clear as day, that he turned to my mum and sister and said "if he comes through this, he's going to be slow" as in cognitively impaired. As stated this is the one thing that has stuck with me all this time and while I'm sure that there are a lot of fantastic nurses and doctors that helped me it's the negative experiences that can have the big impacts. Needless to say that I am not "slow" as he put it and the whole experience did shape my life as for the past 13 years I have worked in care as it did make me realise that I wanted to help people so every cloud has a silver lining.

I had surgery on Monday and had to stay few days after the operation due to having some drains fitted on my neck. I would love to say my most sincere thanks to all the staff on Ward E14β€, the doctors and nurses that were involved in my surgeryβ€ as well as all the other people that are involved in and helping to deliver great care. I felt very well looked after and I felt like I was in safe hands. Nothing was too much trouble. We should really be thankful for NHS. Kasiaβ€

I came here yesterday with an absess in my face after being refused care and shown no compassion at Urgent Care medical Centre in Nottingham I broke down crying in A&E the staff were absolutely amazing. A nurse sat with me and did deep breathing and calmed down, staff kept coming to check if I was OK, they took scans and x rays, took my bloods and gave me medication. I am so grateful to them for showing me care and compassion. Thank you so much to the staff at Queens med, you're amazing x
